< Fire at Blk 339 Clementi >

There was a home fire earlier today at Blk 339 Clementi. One resident was affected by smoke inhalation, and has been evacuated to hospital. SCDF is investigating the cause of the fire.

I was on site a little while ago, and met some of the neighbours living next to the unit with the fire, as well as other residents who were passing by and concerned about what happened. Our agencies and Clementi CARE team are mobilising to assist residents needing help.

A big thank you to SCDF, SPF / Clementi NPC, HDB, Jurong-Clementi Town Council, Clementi CC PA staff and our C2E quick response volunteers for acting quickly. Special mention to C2E Chairman Wang How who was in the middle of his own dental treatment appointment but stepped out to assist on-site, in a spirit of community service and dedication!
