Empowering Service Excellence with JSIT-R - EXSA (Retail) Star Workshop

Every retail interaction reinforces Singapore’s status as a world-class tourism hub. Achieving that vision requires continuous workforce transformation, where employees are equipped with the right service mindsets and future-ready skills to thrive in a changing retail landscape.

The Job-Skills Integrator for Retail Industry (JSIT-R) supports retail companies in workforce transformation through initiatives that help businesses build future-ready roles while enabling employees to develop relevant skills for industry growth. The Excellent Service Award (EXSA) serves as a key platform for identifying and developing service excellence capabilities and awarding individuals who exemplify such qualities. Organisations such as TC Acoustic, a strong advocate of EXSA, play an important role in championing high standards of customer service and demonstrating how strong service cultures can be embedded at the organisational level.

The JSIT-R supports EXSA by funding the EXSA (Retail) Star Programme to train STAR Award recipients (the highest level of recognition) with service leadership and customer experience management skills through recognition and structured reskilling. Participants gain a deeper understanding of what drives service excellence. They learn not just how to create meaningful customer experiences, but how to translate exceptional moments into sustainable business impact. This commitment is reflected in companies like TC Acoustic, whose Senior Sales Executive Reuben Goh was recognised as an EXSA 2025 (Retail) Service SuperStar, highlighting his outstanding professionalism and dedication to service.
