Trauma can only be healed by facing the problem head on. If you continue to avoid it, you will become depressed and your relationship with reality will stagnate or be severed. If you can feel the pain of trauma, you will connect with your soul and you will already be in the process of healing.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, as a result of various restrictions, approximately half of children have complex PTSD and trauma. In order to minimize the impact, I think it is necessary to develop and put into practical use a trauma care game called WUZU WUZU, which uses art therapy techniques, as soon as possible. Today marks the 79th memorial day of the dropping of the "Little Boy" Atomic bomb in Hiroshima, a tragic event that claimed the lives of 200,000 children, women, and elders who were not soldiers. Even after the bombing, Hibakushas, including children, faced further violence by machine gun fires of B29 US military fighter jets. With over 20% suffering from serious PTSD for their entire lives without receiving any treatments.

In response to this inhuman event, TODAY IS THE DAY initiative began in Hiroshima in 2013, aiming to reflect on the past to shape a better future.

The current project focuses on developing trauma care IT technology using art therapy techniques, such as the remote game WUZU WUZU, to support over 1.4 billion children worldwide post-Covid-19 pandemic.
