[Enhancement for Active Seniors (EASE) - Private Housing Programme]

I have been a long time advocate for Housing & Development Board ‘s EASE during my days as a volunteer in the west. Families with seniors living with them were always pleasantly surprised by how little they have to fork out to furnish their house with a complete set of senior-friendly fixtures.

To me, ALL Singaporeans deserve to age well and live in a dwelling that is senior-friendly. Which is why I am thrilled that Ministry of National Development finally launched the EASE programme (private housing version).

I am even happier that my residents, especially those living in Flora and the Upper Changi neighbourhoods are aware of it and interrogates me about it - like Mdm SC who I met at a house visit this week!

Thanks to the People's Association team who also had the brochure handy and I could help explain to Mdm SC with ease (no pun intended 😝)

TL:DR

💰 $1200 cap on subsidies
75% subsidies for 7 senior-friendly items

👵🏽👴🏻Eligibility:
- 65 yo and above or 60-64 yo requiring assistance for 1 ADL

🗓️ Launching in phases this year:
>80 yo (1 Apr)
70-79 yo (1 Jul)
65-69 yo (1 Oct)
