Last week, we presented our 1-year anniversary souvenir to NTUC’s Secretary-General and three Deputy Secretary-Generals, as a token of our appreciation for their strong support in the formation of ACEU.

Through multiple rounds of discussions, NTUC worked closely with us to ensure that members transitioning to Aster would be well protected and fairly represented. Their support for the establishment of a house union was instrumental in making this possible.

We look forward to strengthening our close partnership with NTUC as we continue to improve the lives and welfare of our members.

Congratulations to our Assistant General Treasurer, Bro Victor Teo, on being conferred the Comrade of Labour award in recognition of his longstanding contributions to the Labour Movement and workers’ welfare.

We are also proud to see our Union Advisor, Vivian Balakrishnan, being awarded the Medal of Honour at this year’s May Day Awards.

𝐀𝐂𝐄𝐔 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 2026🍦

Yesterday, ACEU Membership Committee hosted a May Day outreach session at mTower with support from NTUC Singapore under the May Day Outreach & Campaign 2026 initiative

What started as a complimentary ice cream outreach became a meaningful opportunity for conversations, engagement and appreciation with Aster staff in mTower throughout the afternoon 😊

Beyond the treats, the session also allowed us to:
✨ engage staff on ACEU membership and support
✨ distribute ACEU 1st Anniversary Gift Sets to existing members
✨ welcome new members who signed up during the outreach
✨ strengthen the visibility of the union presence on the ground

It was encouraging to see colleagues, union leaders and staff stopping by, interacting and simply spending time together in a casual setting.

Thank you to NTUC Singapore for supporting unions through initiatives like this that continue to bring engagement efforts closer to workers.

Organised by ACEU Membership Committee as part of the NTUC Singapore May Day Outreach & Campaign 2026 initiative, it was a meaningful afternoon connecting with Aster staff through simple conversations, appreciation and engagement on the ground 😊

From complimentary ice cream treats to ACEU anniversary gift collection and new membership sign-ups, it was heartening to see many colleagues stopping by throughout the session.
