What an exciting week! Following our Campfire Skills course, we conducted the Wood Badge Through Train (WBTT) Course from 8 - 12 June 2026. A combination of Stage 1 and 2, our learners were engaged in the thick of understanding Scouting fundamentals and applying them to their unit meeting plans. Armed with that knowledge, they put their plans into action over the next few days, testing them, applying and learning skills and putting themselves in the shoes of their Scouts, all within the safe space of their course mates and trainers.

With the Gilwell woggle in hand, our learners are now one step closer to achieving their Wood Badge. Onwards towards Gilwell!!

Course Directors: Narwhal (Stage 1), Hoot Owl (Stage 2)
Supported by: Steady Wolf, Witty Bearcat, Gulo Gulo, Hummingbird, Tania Chia and Humming Bee

Over the weekend of 6 - 7 June 2026 (Six Seven! 😜), we held the Wood Badge Skills Course for Campfire Leaders at Mayflower Secondary School. Our learners experienced experimental ways of engaging their youth through songs, cheers and rhythm and learnt the finer points of planning, organising and conducting both outdoor and indoor campfires.

All hands on deck! Over the past 2 weekends (11 & 18 April), our Sea Scout Leaders and Rovers embarked on the Foundation Phase of the Sea Scout Leader Course. Under the helm of Programme Commissioner (Sea) Loh Chee Hwa, they learned the ropes of sea navigation, sailing techniques, and sustainable practices. True to their word, they brought their own cutlery and meals, leaving clean waters astern as they sail toward becoming stronger Sea Scout Leaders!

Designed to support our leaders eager to learn more on how to use the Scouting programme in a more inclusive manner for Scouts with special needs. Leaders were guided to see their youths from a different angle of approach, shared best practices and engaged each other in fruitful discussion.
