⚽ 𝐀 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥, 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲

More than 80 children aged 6 to 13 came together for Unity Cup: Celebrating Harmony 2026 🏆, a two-day football initiative that brought participants from different communities together through sport, teamwork and shared experiences.

Representing different countries in a World Cup-inspired tournament, participants trained, competed and cheered one another on across two age categories. Beyond the matches, they built new friendships and learnt valuable lessons in teamwork, resilience and mutual respect.

We were honoured to welcome Minister of State Dinesh Vasu Dash தினேஷ் வாசு தாஸ் 迪內希 as Guest of Honour. His presence highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for children from diverse backgrounds to connect, strengthen understanding and grow together through shared experiences.

Organised by the four Self-Help Groups, Unity Cup continues to show how sport can bring communities together, fostering friendship, inclusivity and social cohesion from a young age.

🎨 𝑷𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕, 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒚 & 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝑭𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝑴𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 🧸

Creativity was in full swing as our EA Education families came together for a fun bear painting workshop, spending quality time painting, laughing and making memories together.

From colourful creations to proud little smiles, it was wonderful seeing parents and children work side by side and bring their ideas to life. As one of our youngest participants, 3-year-old Kiefer, happily shared: “I love painting the bear with Mummy. It was so fun!” 💛

It was a quintessential blend of east and west fine dining among the who’s who of the Eurasian community at 𝑭𝒊𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒂 𝑬𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒂. The first ever Eurasian evening at the 175-year-old Singapore Cricket Club had guests dinning on a menu created by Chef Quentin Pereira flavoured with Portuguese, Italian, British and Dutch fusion delicacies in ode to the many cultures peppered in the community.

The night was symbolic to Eurasians; the close of a historical chapter that once forced them to start their own club across the Padang in 1890. EA’s former president Victor Olsen (1989-1991) who was instrumental in reviving the Eurasian identity during his tenure, welcomed guests with a fun fact about how the Singapore Recreation Club was called the Eurasian Club until Singapore’s independence in 1965 when its doors opened to all Singaporeans. EA’s President Angelina Fernandez in her speech commended the resilience of Eurasians and affirmed the EA’s continued efforts to preserve heritage, foster belonging especially among first generation Eurasians and care for all in the community. The evening ended with Terry Mortimer’s band and the EA’s Dance troupe taking the stage the only way Eurasians do, with a lot of dancing and classic sing-alongs. Any guesses which song rounded off the night?

Join us for an engaging afternoon of conversation, awareness and community at CommuniTEA Matters!

Organised in collaboration with Dementia Singapore, this session will explore dementia awareness, including early signs, caregiving and available support resources. Participants will also catch a screening of A Singapore Dementia Story, an anthology of short films inspired by real-life experiences.
