Today, the Eurasian Association celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the EA Education Awards, recognising the achievements of generations of students and looking ahead to EA’s next chapter.

The milestone also marked the announcement of EA’s enhanced education support from 2027, including preschool support through an annual top-up to Child Development Accounts to help children build strong foundations, higher eligibility thresholds for education support to reach more families, and more flexible tertiary education assistance through full and partial scholarships. These new initiatives seek to ensure that Eurasian families in need are not left behind. EA President Ms Angelina Fernandez spoke about how education journeys and family circumstances have changed over the years, and the importance of ensuring that EA’s support continues to respond to the evolving needs.

From our kidsREAD Jr children’s special performance of ‘Heal the World’ to our 2026 Valedictorian Shannon Ezrela Siew Mun Yim’s inspiring reflections on perseverance throughout her educational journey, the ceremony was a celebration of resilience, achievement and inspiration.

Our congratulations to this year’s award recipients and their families, and our appreciation to Guest of Honour Mr Desmond Tan 陈国明, Senior Minister of State, Prime Minister’s Office, for his speech, for presenting the awards, and for joining us in marking this special milestone.

We would also like to thank all our donors, community partners, volunteers and supporters, whose generosity, partnership and commitment have made this journey possible.

We look forward to building on this legacy as we continue supporting and strengthening our Eurasian community.
