We have entered the early days of Zulhijjah, days that Allah Himself has honoured.
In just a few days, our brothers and sisters in Makkah will begin their Hajj journey. They will move towards the greatest of days, the Day of ‘Arafah (26 May), followed by ‘Eidul Adha (27 May), and the days of Tashriq (28–30 May).
Even though we are not there, we are not left out.
These are still OUR days too.
Days to fast.
Days to remember.
Days to give (Qurban).
Days to reconnect — with Allah, and with one another.
And from these blessed moments is the night before ‘Eid.
A night often overlooked, but deeply special.
The Prophet ﷺ reminded us that whoever brings life to the nights of the two Eids, Allah will give life to their hearts on the Day when hearts die.
And he ﷺ also mentioned that there are nights where supplication is not rejected. Among them, the night before ‘Eid.
So let us not let this night pass like any other.
At the very least, let us gather for Maghrib, ‘Isha’ and Fajr. In jemaah, in remembrance, in du’as.
And as a community, we want to do this together.
Come join us on 26 May, 7pm onwards.
We’ll be breaking fast (for those observing ‘Arafah), sharing a meal, praying together, and making du’as especially for our oppressed brothers and sisters.
There will be qasidahs, moments of joy for the kids (fire sparkles), and most importantly, a space for us to remember Allah together.
And we’ll fill the night with Takbir. (revamp.sg/takbir-of-eid)
A night where we can recite it freely and continuously. (Before it becomes restricted to after prayers only in the days of Tashriq)
Ultimately, we hope this gathering becomes part of how we honour what Allah has sanctified.
Not just in words, but in how we show up.
Come through. Bring your family, your friends, or just yourself.
Let’s spend this night alive. Together.
May Allah allow us to take full benefit of these blessed days.
May He protect and accept the pilgrims doing their Hajj.
May we all be amongst those invited for Hajj soon.
