For almost 20 years, PAVE has commemorated Dating Violence Awareness Week in the week leading up to Valentine’s Day through various events. Dating violence can come in many forms, including physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, among other violent behaviours. It can happen to teenagers, and it can happen to adults of any age as well. It is never too late to know your rights, and to play our roles when it comes to ensuring healthy relationships and protecting individuals who may be experiencing such situations.

Take some time to scroll through images here. If you are going through a tough time in your intimate relationship, you are not alone. Through years of advocacy and groundwork, there are now legal protection options available for all individuals including unmarried couples going through violence. There are help options available for you – call us at 65550390 today to speak to one of our social workers.

Every year, PAVE commemorates International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (IDEVAW) in accordance with the annual campaign run by the United Nations (UN).

This year, several clients whom PAVE has journeyed with (women who have experienced violence, men who have used violence, as well as adult children who have witnessed violence growing up) have penned heartfelt messages reflecting their efforts and hopes towards a life free of harm for themselves and their loved ones. Take a look through these handwritten notes and you may be inspired by their wisdom and encouragement – “Be brave and take the first steps to freedom!”, “you deserve to be loved gently”, “choosing peace is not a weakness”. Their valuable words serve as a crucial reminder to us all that love is about respect and everyone has a part to play in creating healthy relationships. We commend the courage it takes for all the families out there striving everyday towards a better, safer future.

If you are going through similar tough times, you can step out of the shadows, as they did. You are not alone. Call us at 65550390.

15 June is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD). This year, PAVE commemorates WEAAD by shedding a light on the elderly in our community who may also be vulnerable adults in their own ways, or who may grow to be.

There are many intersecting risks that our elderly population may increasingly be exposed to. Check these out in the informational posters in this post.

For our WEAAD 2025 outreach event, PAVE is privileged to collaborate with the Ang Mo Kio National Healthcare Group Polyclinic. On 13 and 14 June (and upcoming on 16 June 2025), an educational booth was held at AMK Polyclinic to engage visitors, patients, members of the public. Information on types of elder abuse, warning signs, and how everyone has a part to play in keeping the elderly in our midst safe from abuse was shared.

Join us in spreading the message - know your rights, play our roles, and always know that help is available

🌟 Justice Awareness @ Heartlands: Empowering Communities 🌟

PAVE was honoured to participate in the Justice Awareness @ Heartlands event held at the Woodlands Regional Library Auditorium on 17 May 2025. This event, organized by SG Courts focused on family violence and harassment matters, aimed to demystify the legal process and empower informed decisions.

Our Deputy CEO, Ms Pang Kee Tai shared on the different types of family violence and how non-legal options such as counselling can support families experiencing violence and harassment in her talk. She also joined the panellists in an engaging and informative Q&A segment with the audience.

We also had an amazing time interacting with the participants at our booth, together with partners for this event; The Law Society of Singapore, Pro Bono SG and MSF Singapore

Thank you to everyone who joined us on that day. 💚
