Let's together!

On Saturday 03 October 2026, an experiential educational and community visit was held at Ento Industries - Black Soldier Fly Facility (some 9,000 sq ft) in Tuas.

The wholesome and insightful visit introduced neighbours, residents, and families to food waste recycling via the use of the Hermetia illucens to composte food waste which remain Singapore's biggest concern, its food security, as well as the value-chain it brings as it form an island wide promoting circular economy practices amongst F&B providers, retail and us.

Highlights of the visit today include:
Hands-On BSF Lifecycle Experience where both families, children and loved ones were treated to an opportunity to observe the full life cycle of the Black Soldier Fly from eggs and larvae to adult flies—and discover how larvae decompose organic food waste rapidly without creating foul odors.

Animal Feeding Session where both adults and children got to touch and hands-on experience feeding live nutrient-rich larvae to farm animals, such as the cute quails, demonstrating how fly larvae is a right produce and meal source that forms high-quality animal feed.

Circular Economy & Frass Fertilizer where the tour highlights how BSF excrement (frass) serves as an organic fertilizer for local agriculture, creating a closed-loop system where waste becomes food and plant nutrients as well as becoming feed for fresh water Tilapia fish farms located in the eastern part of Singapore.

Thank you to all the residents and families who joined us today to support Singapore’s Zero-Waste and Green Plan goals! 💚
