ACID TEST PAINTBALL COMMUNITY or ATPC for short, is a non-profit organization set up by dedicated paintballers, young and old. Holding the motto strongly, Expand the Paintball Community', ATPC strives to create opportunities and increase awareness of paintball to the general public by organising and supporting events, clinics and workshops that are affordable in a safe and controlled environment.
ATPC humble beginnings began in 2008 where a group of paintballers, now called Team KARMA, invited their fellow friends to try out the sport. Paintball back then was generally perceived negatively by the public due to the sport being associated strongly to violence and dangerous as the paintball markers was seen as a form of weapon. Being a new sport and having less awareness made the sport even more costly, further discouraging the public to try the sport. In 2009, ATPC organised paintball mini-events known as 'ACID TEST PAINTBALL CHALLENGE' located at Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Inclusive of transport and meals, the events was priced at a low and affordable cost. ATPC participants was guided throughout the events from strict safety rules to complex strategies. There was constant sharing on the sport, bonding them closer together by building great teamwork and camaraderie. Through the years, ATPC has successfully spread paintball positively with 'start-up' teams from ATPC mini-events participating in major leagues such as Singapore Paintball Series (SPS) and Malaysia National Paintball League (MyNPL)
Now in 2012, through the collaboration of a local field operator, SOP (School of Paintball) located in Jurong, Singapore, ATPC can now operate at a field closer to home. ATPC had accomplished to organise and support several successful events from mini-events to corporate and non-profit organisation events, constantly striving to hold the motto strongly;
'EXPAND THE PAINTBALL COMMUNITY'
