Queenstown CSN's next monthly brisk walk is scheduled for Sunday morning, 16 August 2026, at Singapore's Little India.

Little India is a vibrant cultural enclave with temples and mosques, street art and brightly painted shophouses. Along the main drag, Serangoon Road, unfussy canteens and hip eateries sit next to shops selling gold jewelry, colourful silks and fresh flower garlands. Nearby, Mustafa Centre welcomes shoppers 24/7. The ethnic district is liveliest during Hindu celebrations like the Deepavali festival of lights.

The air-conditioned coaches will pick up participants at Leng Kee CC, Queenstown CC/Mei Ling Block 151, and Margaret Drive RN's centre. The coaches will depart at 7:30 am. Please be punctual.

What are you waiting for? Come with your family, neighbours, and friends to enjoy this light brisk walk to keep fit and healthy. Please scan the QR code to register for the brisk walk and see details on the flyer. See you all on 16 August 2026.

The CSN's July morning brisk walk was held last Sunday, 19 July 2026, at Kampong Gelam. It is Singapore's historic Malay-Muslim quarter, with a vibrant blend of rich royal heritage and trendy modern culture, famous for its grand golden-domed mosque, independent boutiques, colorful street art, and eclectic mix of dining spots.

About 130 participants, CSN officials, first aiders, and volunteers turned up for the walk. The weather was sunny, fine for a comfortable walk along a scenic route shaded from the morning sun by tall skyscrapers and buildings, and participants enjoyed the walk.

After an enjoyable morning walk, everyone was happy and adjourned to Golden Mile Food Centre @ Beach Road for breakfast at their own expense. Then, it was time to board the 3 air-conditioned coaches back to Leng Kee CC, Queenstown CC/Mei Ling Block 51, and Margaret Drive RN. Home Sweet Home.

Part 01 - Queenstown CSN's Family Fun Walk IG organised a Tricycling and Brisk Walking Event for seniors and families last Saturday afternoon, 27 June 2026, at Pasir Ris Park.

Upon arrival at D'Resort @ Downtown East, the participants disembarked and walked to the gathering area at the park via the side door. They were briefed on personal safety during the activities they participate in and on taking care of their personal items.

Although the afternoon weather was sunny and hot, a cool breezy wind was blowing from the open sea, and it was shady under the many big tall trees. The participants were divided into 2 groups: Group 1 did 30 minutes of tricycling, and Group 2 did 30 minutes of brisk walking. While waiting for each group to finish their respective activity, they played soccer and mini golf.

At about 5.00 pm, our Queenstown SMC Grassroots Adviser, Mr Eric Chua, and CSN Chairman, Mr Clarence Lam, dropped by the event to mingle, chat, and take photos with the volunteers and participants. He partnered with a resident for a round of tricycling.

The participants were happy with the event as they had fun tricycling or as passengers on trishaws, and brisk walking to keep fit and healthy. Then, it's dinner time. A goody bag, a bento dinner set, a cup of water, and a banana were issued to the participants. After a satisfying, yummy dinner, we boarded the air-conditioned coaches for the drop-off at Leng Kee CC. Home Sweet Home!

We thank you for your enthusiastic and active participation and support. Also, a big heartfelt thank you to the volunteers, Margaret, Fion, Lim Kian, Patrick, Maria, and Felix, for your kind assistance in carrying out the various tasks and taking care of the seniors and young children.
