ACMI is a Catholic Commission that looks after the pastoral needs of migrant persons in Singapore. Our ministry includes case management and pastoral care, skills development for migrant domestic workers and migrant spouses, community outreach and formation. We serve all migrants in the community regardless of religion, nationality or social economic status. ACMI - Archdiocesan Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants & Itinerant People (天主教总教区移民及客工牧灵关怀委员会) - is supported by Caritas Singapore Community Council

It’s Episode 7 of the Camino Challenge! 🦶💨 As Alex takes on the 22km journey from Avilés to Muros de Nalón, he reflects on how difficult it can be to be far from home when loved ones need you. ❤️ For many of our migrant brothers and sisters in Singapore, being away from family means missing important moments or being unable to return home when their loved ones need them most.

This is why Alex is hiking through 827km of the Camino del Norte for ACMI's Journey With___ campaign, rallying support and funds for low-income and vulnerable migrants in Singapore. ❤️ What about you? Will you journey with the migrants?

When Monsignor Peter arrived from China in 1996 for seminary formation, he knew the ache of homesickness firsthand. So he co-founded “Home for Lambs on a Journey”, a community where newcomers share meals, build friendships, and find belonging. Today, as a seminary teacher and interreligious dialogue leader, he still gives back, helping others embrace Singapore as home.

His story is the heart of ACMI’s 2026 campaign, Journey With___. Inspired by the Camino de Santiago, it supports vulnerable migrants in Singapore quietly overcoming isolation and building brighter futures. Now, you can walk alongside them.

Migrants carry the heavy weight of holding everything together for families back home, often forced to journey alone. Inspired by the Camino de Santiago, ACMI's Journey With___ campaign ensures they never have to go it alone again, because now we can walk alongside them as they overcome isolation and build brighter futures.

Through shared events, the Outreach & Engagement team bridges locals and migrants together, creating a welcoming space for conversations, common understanding, and lasting friendships. Donate to support these community-building initiatives and walk beside them toward a brighter, more connected path forward.

It’s Episode 6 of the Camino Challenge! 🦶💨 Alex takes on another long day on the trail, making his way 33.5km from Castro Urdiales to Laredo. Starting in the dark, he struggles with fatigue and even loses sight of the arrows and shells marking the way, leaving him wondering if he’s on the right road. But after a long and tiring day, he finally makes it to Laredo! ⛰️ Where will the Camino take Alex next? Stay tuned to find out! 👀

We joined the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) at the Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) for Happy Vibes @ LLI, bringing together around 150 migrant domestic workers (MDWs) for a day of fun, learning and connection. 💙 From bead bracelet making and a first aid and CPR workshop, to Zumba and our Skills Development booth, we were glad to create opportunities for everyone to unwind, pick up new skills and enjoy time together. 🧶💃

The response was heartening, with our planned one-hour bracelet-making activity continuing throughout the session as participants stayed on to create their own bracelets. The Zumba session was another highlight, with MDWs dancing along for over an hour! 🥰 It was wonderful to see everyone coming together, sharing smiles and enjoying the day.

A big thank you to MOM for having us, and to our wonderful volunteers for giving their time and energy to make the day possible. 🙏 We’re grateful for opportunities like these to walk alongside our migrant brothers and sisters, build connections and create a more welcoming community for all. 🇸🇬🤝💙
