SCDF Update 🚨
From 1 April 2026, the Fire Certificate (FC) validity period will be extended from 1 year to 3 years for buildings with a good compliance track record.

Annual inspections and certifications will continue to be required.

The FSM Seminar 2026 brought together Fire Safety Managers (FSMs) and industry professionals from across Singapore for a meaningful exchange on advancing fire safety standards.

We were honoured to have Deputy Commissioner Daniel Seet (Future Technology & Public Safety), Singapore Civil Defence Force, join us at this year’s seminar.

The seminar provided a valuable platform to:
- Share best practices in fire safety and emergency preparedness
- Stay updated on regulatory developments and compliance requirements
- Strengthen connections within the fire safety community

The seminar reaffirmed the critical role FSMs play in safeguarding lives and property, and highlighted the importance of continuous learning and collaboration in building a safer Singapore.

We extend our appreciation to SCDF, all speakers, partners, vendors and participants for making this event a success.

The Responders, Partners and Volunteers Appreciation Event was held at Orchard Hotel on 6 February 2026. Ms. Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Home Affairs, graced the event as the Guest of Honour.

The Fire Safety Managers' Association Singapore (FSMAS) was recognised for its strong support and partnership and awarded with an appreciation plaque.
