Go For Your Mountain 2026 showed us that every step counts! ⛰️💚

On 26 September, more than 1,000 youths, seniors, children and neighbours came together to hike up Mount Faber for Go For Your Mountain 2026, organised by Empower Ageing (Empower Ageing) as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations! 🌱✨

Among them were 231 Youth Corps Singapore volunteers, who came together with the community for a morning of movement, connection and meaningful moments across generations. ❤️

From Telok Blangah Hill Park, across Henderson Waves, and ending at Faber Point, participants took on the climb side by side — reminding us that sometimes, it’s the journey we share with others that makes every step count. 💪

As a partner of Go For Your Mountain 2026, we’re glad to have our volunteers be part of this meaningful intergenerational experience. A big thank you to all our volunteers for showing up, lending a hand and making the morning a memorable one! 🫶

And a special thank you to SMS Tan Kiat How (Kiat How Tan) for joining us and showing his support for our volunteers and the community!

Litterlifters+ (Islandwide Edition) showed us what collective action can look like! 🌱✨

Co-organised by Youth Corps Singapore and Public Hygiene Council (Public Hygiene Council), the programme brought 469 youths across Singapore together on 19 September at 9 sites islandwide to make a difference to our shared spaces, in conjunction with World Cleanup Day 🌏✨

From kayaking and litter-picking, to coastal and urban clean-ups, our volunteers took action to keep our waterways, neighbourhoods and streets clean 💪

Beyond picking up litter, volunteers also learnt about the impact of waste on our biodiversity and communities — reminding us that every small action can play a part in keeping Singapore clean, green and thriving 🌿

A big thank you to SPS Hanyan Goh for joining us and showing her support for our youths and their commitment to making a difference! 💚

Here’s to continuing to care for the spaces we share, one piece of litter at a time. 🫶

What do you really bring back from an overseas volunteering trip?

For Mahshuk and Jia Ming, it was more than just memories. Their YEP experiences gave them new perspectives, meaningful connections and a deeper understanding of what it takes to create change that lasts.

And while their projects may have ended, their journeys didn’t. They continued to apply what they learnt and stayed connected with communities long after returning home.
