Prof. Scheinkman (economist at Columbia, emeritus at Princeton) is a leading economist of climate finance and asset-price bubbles and chair of the committee of economics advising COP30. He’ll share insights from his recent research, including how to price forest protection/restoration, and how his mitigation and adaptation proposals at COP30 are now being implemented.
If you’re curious about:
- How does an economist go from Goldman Sachs to UN climate policy?
- Can the world actually pay countries to keep their rainforests standing - and would it work?
- Why did the UN bring a room full of economists into climate negotiations for the first time, and what happened?
➡️ then this mixer with Dr. Scheinkman and fellow interested alums is for you!
