We are thrilled to announce that Bukit Timah CC Toastmasters Club will be celebrating our 400th Chapter Meeting on Tuesday, 7th April 2026—and you’re warmly invited to be part of this special occasion!

Chartered on Sep. 27, 2005, our club has been a vibrant platform for individuals to grow into confident speakers and effective leaders in a supportive and structured environment. And in what feels like the blink of an eye, we’ve reached an incredible milestone—our 400th meeting!

This achievement is a testament to the passion, dedication, and camaraderie of our members past and present. Whether you are a current member, an alumnus, or completely new to Toastmasters, we welcome you to celebrate this meaningful moment with us.

A huge thank you to our wonderful guests and fellow Toastmasters members for making our 3rd February meeting another resounding success! 🎉

We were delighted to welcome so many new and returning guests. It’s truly encouraging to see such strong interest from individuals who are eager to sharpen their public speaking skills and learn more about our club.

Guests of all ages and backgrounds are always welcome at Bukit Timah Toastmasters' Club!

Fun fact: One of our guests, Hong Ming — who just ORD-ed — joined us for the first time and went on to win Best Table Topic Speaker with his humorous recount of an experience during National Service.

Congratulations, Hong Ming! 🏆

We’re also excited to welcome Mindy, who has officially taken the next step and joined Bukit Timah Toastmasters’ Club as a member. We look forward to hearing your prepared speeches in the coming sessions!

Happy New Year, everyone! 🎉

We were delighted to welcome so many guests to our very first Toastmasters’ meeting of the year. It was truly encouraging to see so many individuals taking their first step toward improving their public speaking skills and learning more about our club.

Many of our guests also bravely stepped onto the stage to challenge themselves with a 1–2 minute impromptu speech during our Table Topics segment. Their enthusiasm and courage made the session lively and engaging!

We hope this momentum continues throughout the year, and we assure you that every meeting will be rewarding, enjoyable, filled with laughter and valuable takeaways!

Congratulations to our guest, Norizah—an existing Toastmasters member—for being voted Best Table Topics Speaker of the night! 🏆

Norizah also served as our Language Evaluator, thoughtfully reviewing the speakers’ language and grammar usage while highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.

Thank you Norizah, for taking the time to visit our club and contribute so meaningfully to our meeting. Being voted Best Table Topics Speaker truly reflects your proficiency in impromptu speaking!

✨ Time really flies when we’re having fun — we’ve already reached our final Toastmasters meeting of 2025!

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported and joined our meetings throughout the year. You’ve made 2025 truly memorable!

For our year-end session, we enjoyed a lively full Table Topics segment, where both guests and members took the stage for their 1–2 minute impromptu speeches.

This Table Topics segment was inspired by Secret Santa 🎁 — each speaker received a surprise “gift” and had to deliver a speech explaining why it is suitable for the giftee. Let’s just say… these gifts were anything but ordinary, and the room was filled with laughter as everyone tried to guess what they were!

🏆 Big congratulations to Cleon, who clinched the Best Table Topics Speaker Award for the second time in a row!

🌟A huge thank you to everyone who joined our 4th November Toastmasters meeting!

What an inspiring evening filled with energy, learning, and unforgettable moments!

During this meeting, our Club President Bervyn delivered a prepared speech on what makes an effective morning routine—an insightful and relevant topic for all of us who want to start our day on the right foot!

Our SAA, Jerome, also shared a heartfelt speech about his workplace mentor, May. His speech reminded us of the tremendous value that good mentors bring to our lives.

At Toastmasters, every new member is also paired with a mentor who is ready to guide and support them on their journey towards becoming confident and capable speakers.

We welcomed enthusiastic guests who bravely took on our Table Topics session. It was amazing watching everyone step onto the stage and shine!

🏆 Congratulations to Cleon, our guest who gave an impressive 1-2 min Table Topics speech and was voted Best Table Topics Speaker!

In this meeting, we celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival together with plenty of delicious mooncakes and some truly thought-provoking Table Topics questions!

Special thanks to Shan Shan for preparing such meaningful questions inspired by the themes of family, gratitude, and the moon — beautifully capturing the spirit of the festival and getting everyone thinking on their feet! 🌙

🎊✨ Bukit Timah CC Toastmasters Club Turns 20! ✨🎊

What a night! 🥳 We celebrated our 20th anniversary with balloons, delicious food, inspiring speeches, and of course… lots of laughter! 💃🕺 Time really does fly!

A huge shout-out to our Division J Director Isaac and Area J4 Director Ram for joining us to make this milestone extra special 🙌

👏 Congratulations to our Best Speakers of the night, Kelvin and Josephine!

Fun fact: Josephine only joined us this month (September) and has already clinched her very first Best Speaker award—what an achievement!

👏 And for the first time ever (at least in recent memory)… we had 3 Best Table Topics Speakers! Big cheers to Mindy, Vimal, and Stacie — what a way to mark our 20th anniversary! 🎂🎈

HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!!!🇸🇬🇸🇬🇸🇬😍😍😍

Our August Toastmasters meeting carried the vibrant theme of “National Day”. As always, we celebrated together with good food, great company, and a packed program that featured prepared speeches, evaluations, and an exciting Table Topics session—ensuring that everyone, including our guests, had the chance to speak on stage!

For this special Table Topics round, our Treasurer Jonathan prepared thought-provoking questions about National Day. Guests and members alike rose to the challenge, delivering impromptu speeches of 1–2 minutes each. Everyone did brilliantly! 🎤✨

Here are some of the questions—try giving a 1–2 minute speech yourself and see how you’d do!

1️⃣ What’s the most important freedom we enjoy in today’s Singapore that you think future generations should not take for granted?
2️⃣ Finish this sentence: “To me, National Day is…” (Share a personal story, reflection, or even a funny take!)
3️⃣ What’s one small everyday thing that makes you proud to be Singaporean? (e.g. hawker culture, kiasu-ism, efficiency, our “city in a garden”)
