Alhamdulillah, QuranSG 2026 was officially launched today at Masjid Kampung Siglap, marking the beginning of six months of programmes dedicated to deepening our relationship with the Quran.

About 150 participants attended the launch event, which was graced by M***i of Singapore, Dr Nazirudin Mohd Nasir. The initiative aims to encourage engagement with the Quran beyond recitation and memorisation, nurturing meaningful reflection and practical application in our daily lives.

Also launched today was the QuranSG Tadabbur E-Book — a resource designed to help us reflect more deeply on the Quran and uncover the lessons, wisdom and guidance within its verses.

"Awal Muharram calls us to pause, reflect and renew our commitment to living with purpose and integrity." - Assoc Prof Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim

Yesterday evening, around 650 congregants gathered at Masjid Al-Ansar for Majlis Fi Rihabi Rahmah, an annual community initiative by the Office of the M***i Singapore to strengthen bonds between local mosques and the wider community.

Graced by Acting Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Assoc Prof Faishal, MUIS leaders including President Mr Mohamed Sa'at Abdul Rahman, M***i Dr Nazirudin Mohd Nasir and Chief Executive Mr Kadir Maideen, Senior Mosque Executive Chairman and other community leaders, the session reflected on the significance of Muharram, the Hijrah of the Prophet s.a.w. and the enduring lessons it offers for our lives today.

As we begin 1448H, Awal Muharram reminds us that meaningful change begins with sincere intention. Just as the hijrah marked a turning point in the history of our ummah, may this new year inspire us to take purposeful steps towards what pleases Allah, trusting that good beginnings, rooted in consistency and faith, can lead to blessed endings. Amin.
