Together, we have collectively recycled 622,134.5 kg of recyclables in the first half of 2026.

A resident praised our Property Officer, Mohammed Izam, for resolving the illegal dumping issue in the estate. He also assisted with the ceiling leakage concern in the resident’s unit.

We will continue to do our best to make our neighbourhood a great place to call home. ❤️🏠

New seats were added to the drop off point at Block 575 Hougang Street 51 for residents to rest while waiting for their car pick up.

🌟𝗕𝘂𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗼𝗸-𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵
Lawn edging was installed along the apron drain at Block 999A Buangkok Green to keep planter beds neat, prevent soil erosion into the drain, and enhance the neighbourhood's appearance for residents.

🪑𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗻
New seats were added to the drop off point at Block 468 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 for residents to rest while waiting for their car pick up.

New fans were installed in the void deck of Block 470 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 to provide better ventilation during humid weather so residents can relax and enjoy the space.

🖌𝗞𝗲𝗯𝘂𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝘂
Yellow lines were repainted on the staircases at Blocks 160 & 162 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4 to improve visibility, reduce the risk of falls, and enhance pedestrian safety.

🌟𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿-𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗻
Drain gratings were installed at Block 914 Hougang Street 91 to provide better accessibility, especially residents on wheelchair and those with trolleys.

Yellow dotted lines were painted near the scupper drain at Block 532 Serangoon North Avenue 4 to provide better visibility, especially during wet weather conditions.

👧👦𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗚𝗵𝗲𝗲
The playground at Block 354 Ang Mo Kio Street 32 was upgraded with a fire truck theme to provide a safer and better play experience for children and young families.

The flooring in the walkway at Block 703 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8 was resurfaced to prevent water ponding caused by rainwater accumulation and minimise the risk of slip-and-fall incidents.

The cracked floor tiles near Kebun Baru Market & Food Centre at Block 226G Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 were repaired to minimise tripping and enhance public safety.

🪑 𝗬𝗶𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝘂 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗴
A new bench was installed near the drop off point at Block 648 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 for residents to rest while waiting for their car pick up.

💚 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 @ 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲🌳

🇸🇬 Just two days after our National Day celebrations, we kept the spirit growing at Block 520 Ang Mo Kio Ave 5! 🌱🌳

Children, parents and teachers from PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Block 502 and M.Y. World @ Block 584, volunteers and AMKTC Team came together to plant trees and shrubs, with our MP for Ang Mo Kio GRC (Cheng San), Ms Nadia, sharing why growing and caring for our greenery is important. 🌿

We also spread the National Day cheer by giving out SG flags to all participants. 🇸🇬

On 24 July 2026, students from Kidz Meadow @ Blk 967 Hougang Ave 9 put their creativity to work by designing educational posters with messages on recycling and reducing food waste. Their efforts were brought into the community by the students and their parents and teachers, who went door-to-door at Blk 937 Hougang Street 92 to distribute the posters to residents.

Together with MP for Ang Mo Kio GRC (Seletar-Serangoon), Ms Jasmin Lau, they shared simple but important reminders:

This morning, we celebrated the official reopening of Teck Ghee Block 409 AMK Market and Food Centre and Singapore’s 61st Birthday!

After two months of Repairs & Redecoration (R&R) works, the market and food centre is now refreshed with upgraded facilities. The R&R works included the installation of new fans and lighting, tables and chairs, upgraded non-slip floor tiles, new signages, bird nettings, and other improvements.

The reopening was marked by the final touches on a wall mural painted by Ang Mo Kio Primary School. Our MPs for Ang Mo Kio GRC, Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Ms Nadia Ahmad Samdin also distributed goodie bags to all stallholders to welcome them back to business.

We also launched Little Red Bot, a smart AI robotic sweeper that will be deployed to sweep the open spaces around Teck Ghee Square.

We hope residents will enjoy the renewed facilities and continue to frequent the market and food centre.

Our wayfinding murals in Yio Chu Kang recently caught the attention of a South Korean researcher from Ewha Womans University, MinJi Kim. Inspired by the initiative, she is now writing her Master's thesis on how environmental design can support wayfinding for persons living with dementia.

In this video, our MP for Yio Chu Kang SMC, Mr Yip Hon Weng shares how the idea to help residents navigate their neighbourhood has sparked international academic interest.

We are heartened that this initiative is not only making a difference for our residents, but is also contributing to conversations beyond our shores on supporting an ageing population and creating more dementia-friendly communities.
