A heartfelt thank you to the volunteers from Singapore Polytechnic ‘s Computing, Chemical & Life Sciences (CCLS) Cluster for taking the time to distribute food rations to our residents in Whampoa. More than delivering essential items, your presence reminded our seniors and families that they are seen, cared for, and surrounded by a community that looks out for them. ✨

The team brought such wonderful energy throughout the morning. From enthusiastically leading games and simple dance exercises to taking the initiative to engage residents in conversations, every interaction helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was heartwarming to see the community come alive with laughter, smiles, and meaningful connections.

A special thank you as well to Project R.I.C.E.+ for sponsoring this session’s featured spread. These practical additions were well loved by our residents and added an extra touch of care to every ration pack. As well as Whampoa Drive Residents’ Network for supporting us with the venue and logistics, helping to make the session run smoothly for both residents and volunteers. Together, every act of generosity helped make the day a little brighter for the Whampoa community. 💛

Some of our seniors rode a bicycle again after many years.

Others stepped into a dragon boat for the very first time.

At Ascending Hope, we believe it’s never too late to discover something new, challenge yourself, and create memories worth keeping.

Thanks to .sg , our seniors can try cycling without owning a bike, making cycling easy and accessible for everyone — just unlock and ride! 🚲💙

You can sign up as an individual or gather a few of your family members, friends, or colleagues for the Amazing Race. There will also be a community walk, cycling, dragon boating, and a Mental Wellness Carnival, so there's something for everyone.

💙 A minimum donation of $30 per participant is all it takes to join the adventure. Your donation helps support Ascending Hope's programmes for vulnerable seniors, families and youths, bringing hope, strengthening wellbeing, and building a more caring community.

Every step you take helps someone else take a step towards hope.

What’s on this month’s Makan & Mingle?🎉🧠

This session was all about fun, laughter, and a little friendly competition!

Our seniors put their hand eye coordination to the test and definitely showed off their competitive side. They also took on a game of Reverse Charades, where the acting skills were put to the ultimate test. Let’s just say... there were plenty of hilarious moments! 🤭

These simple games do so much more than keep our minds active. They help spark conversations, strengthen friendships, and create lasting memories between our seniors and volunteers!🫶🏼

This month marked another meaningful afternoon with Woh Hup at our Bendemeer Food Ration Distribution

While Woh Hup generously sponsors the food rations, what means just as much is their commitment to be present.
Over the past few months, their team has been returning month after month—not only to distribute rations, but to spend time with the same seniors and residents

There’s something special about seeing familiar faces. What begins as a greeting slowly turns into conversations, shared laughter, and relationships that grow stronger with every visit.
For many seniors, these moments of connection can be just as meaningful as the food they receive

At Ascending Hope, caring for seniors isn’t just about showing up—it’s about being prepared when it matters most.

We’re incredibly proud of our regular volunteers who recently completed their BCLS + AED certification. ❤️

This certification isn’t just for our volunteer sessions. It’s a life skill they’ll carry wherever they go—one that could one day help a family member, a friend, a colleague, a stranger, or one of the seniors we serve.

Thank you for saying “yes” to learning, growing, and serving with compassion. We are so proud to have you as part of the Ascending Hope family!
