What does it take to keep our National Day celebrations clean? 🇸🇬

At NDP 2026, 24 volunteers from 's R.I.S.E. Champions Network stepped up as Cleanliness Champions at the National Stadium, encouraging spectators to dispose of their litter responsibly and reporting any cleanliness issues that cropped up to the NDP operations team.

PHC Chairman Mr. Andrew Khng and Executive Director Dr. Christina Liew were also on-site to observe the efforts of our Cleanliness Champions. During the event, Mr Khng was interviewed by AsiaOne, where he shared more about PHC's involvement in NDP 2026 and why keeping our public spaces clean is a responsibility we .

From our Cleanliness Champions on the ground to our hygiene reminders throughout the venue, we're proud to play our part in bringing the message of cleanliness to one of Singapore's biggest celebrations.

While 42,000 spectators filled the National Stadium to celebrate Singapore's 61st birthday on Sunday (Aug 9), 21-year-old Zevita Ng was among the many volunteers working behind the scenes to ensure the National Day Parade (NDP) ran smoothly. 61 years strong, and we're still going beyond! This National Day, stands together with the rest of the nation as we celebrate just how far we've come.

But National Day isn't the only time we come together. Every day, our collective acts help Keep Singapore Clean – from disposing of our rubbish responsibly to keeping toilets clean for the next user.

This National Day, let's continue doing our part to Keep Singapore Clean, because we in it!

15 years of keeping Singapore clean, and we're just getting started! 🇸🇬✨

In 1968, our founding Prime Minister Mr Lee Kuan Yew launched the very first Keep Singapore Clean campaign, to raise the standards of public hygiene and cleanliness across our nation. This year, we mark 15 years of the Public Hygiene Council carrying forward that legacy.

Through the past decade and a half, our mission has grown far and wide. Together with our many friends and partners, we have launched countless initiatives and programmes to drive the Keep Singapore Clean movement and inspire collective action. Our commitment has stood unwavering in the face of adversity and crises.

As we look to the future, our mission to Keep Singapore Clean remains an ongoing journey, but one that we must all champion together to ensure a clean home for our children and generations to come. 💪

Here's to many more years of keeping Singapore clean, together. 🧡

Where music meets its mission to Keep Singapore Clean 🎶

On 2 August, was honoured to attend ASEZ WAO's Chamber Orchestra Environmental Concert at the National Museum of Singapore.

ASEZ WAO (Save the Earth from A to Z, We Are One Family) is a global youth volunteer movement and part of PHC's R.I.S.E. Champions Network. Their Hope Chamber Orchestra concerts pair musical ensembles with environmental activism in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

A key highlight of the night featured PHC and ASEZ WAO signing a year-long Memorandum of Understanding. Through our partnership, we aim to forge greater public cleanliness publicity, community engagement, and volunteer advocacy across the nation.

Here's to more music, meaning, and a cleaner Singapore through our efforts! 💚
