- This week’s Faces Of Trident features Sufy, a Financial Consultant with Great Eastern!

“I was looking for a team sport to stay fit, and coincidentally, three friends invited me to try out their different dragonboat teams around the same time. Out of the three teams I tried, Trident definitely stood out as the most welcoming and inclusive for a newbie like me. They were extremely accommodating and patient, and as I later found out, also the craziest and most fun bunch. Trident has become something I look forward to every weekend! Partly because of the sport that I’ve come to love and appreciate, but mostly because of my teammates. They laugh with you, cry with you, and support you when work and life throw curveballs your way. Trident has become a support system that I truly cherish.

- This week’s Faces Of Trident features Rou, a Field Service Engineer!

“I decided to join Trident because of how welcoming the team felt from day one. Coming to Singapore from Malaysia, everything was new to me, but during my first trial, I knew this is where I belong. The team’s vibe, training style, intensity, and passion are exactly what I have been looking for. This past year has been filled with sweat, joy, and so much love. ❤️ Being away from home isn’t always easy, but Trident has given me a true sense of belonging. The team feels like family, always supportive and caring. I’ve grown alongside them and cherish every stroke, every push, every breakdown and every breakthrough that has shaped me into someone stronger. Grateful for every training, every race, and every moment we’ve shared, and proud to be part of this team. 🔱✨

What started out as a simple whatsapp poll turned into a reality as the team travelled 1490 miles to Boracay in the Philippines to participate in the LoveBoracay International Dragon Boat Festival 2025! This is the first time the team raced in the Philippines and we set off with no expectations, just to have fun and learn. With a strong showing from the Philippines and teams from all over the world, we made it through to the semi finals of the Open Standard Boat category.

More importantly than the results was the bond and memories we built with fellow team mates and new friendships forged with fellow passionate dragonboaters from all around the world! Indeed we went with no expectations, but came back with our hearts so full! Thank you and Boracay Dragon Boat Association for organizing such a wonderful race on the beautiful beaches of Boracay.

It's a wrap for ! Great job to our paddlers, especially our first time paddlers who just joined us in July! What a race it was as we exceeded our own expectations and went down each race bettering our previous timings! Thank you and to our supporters who came down to cheer their lungs out for us and passing us isotonic drinks after each set!
