The 26th AVC General Assembly was held on 8th August 2026 in Bangkok,
Thailand. Our Secretary-General and General Manager was in attendance, joining fellow volleyball representatives from across Asia. The meeting provided a valuable platform to exchange ideas, strengthen regional partnerships and explore opportunities to further elevate volleyball in Singapore and across Asia.

Thank you once again to AVC for the invitation and we look forward to continuing our collaboration with the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) and our regional partners as we work together to grow the sport and create more opportunities for our athletes and volleyball community. 💪🏐

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Ang Swee Aun, a dedicated teacher, coach and sports administrator who served the volleyball community with distinction for more than two decades.

From the early 1990s to 2012, Mr Ang made significant contributions to the development of volleyball in Singapore. As Vice President (Officials Development) from 2008 to 2012, he played an important role in strengthening the development of volleyball officials and raising officiating standards.

Mr Ang will be remembered for his commitment, leadership, and passion for the sport. His contributions have left a lasting impact on Singapore volleyball and on the many officials, athletes, and colleagues whose lives he touched.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Mr. Ang will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

DAB Up | More Than Just Volleyball 🏐💙

Volleyball is more than a game, it's a platform to inspire, connect and empower.

Through our partnership with SportsValues SG () and Serangoon Garden Secondary School (.sgss), we're proud to deliver DAB Up, a values-based volleyball programme under the Gear Up initiative, where every session is designed to build resilience, teamwork, respect and confidence through sport.

We're excited to welcome our National Volleyball athletes to spend time with the youths through an inspiring sharing, an interactive Q&A and some friendly games on court.

"It was so heartwarming to see the kids interacting with Darren & Jun Xi, asking questions, and enjoying playing alongside them. I’m sure this will become one of their core memories from their time in school. " -

Sometimes, the biggest impact comes from a simple conversation, a shared experience or playing alongside someone who has overcome challenges and have represented Singapore. We hope these moments will encourage our young participants to dream bigger, believe in themselves and continue striving for their own goals—both on and off the court 💙
