Chalets for Elderly Monks at Wat Pa Yotha Prasit

Several years ago, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Luang Por Suphan initiated the construction of chalets to provide shelter for elderly monks who had nowhere else to stay.

Many of these monks had to leave their former temples because they were not officially registered there. In some cases, their original temples were located far away, while others no longer existed. Recognising their needs, Luang Por Suphan stepped forward to provide them with a safe and caring environment.

In addition to the chalets, Luang Por Suphan established a clinic within the temple grounds. The clinic is staffed by one full-time doctor and two full-time nurses who attend to the medical and healthcare needs of the elderly monks residing there.

Today, both the chalet and clinic projects continue to operate successfully and provide essential care and support to those who have nowhere else to turn. However, the ongoing costs of maintaining these facilities and services rely heavily on the generosity and support of the public.

# # Kathin for Wat Udom Mongkol and Phra Ajarn Weechit

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has continuously supported Phra Ajarn Weechit and Wat Udom Mongkol in the construction of the 18-metre Luang Por Sothon Statue and its accompanying wiharn.

For those who have benefited from the sacred objects blessed by Phra Ajarn Weechit, the temple is still in the process of completing the wiharn that will enshrine the magnificent 18-metre Luang Por Sothon Statue.

We believe that the completion of this major project is drawing near, and we will provide further updates after our next discussion with Phra Ajarn Weechit.

# # Orphanage at Wat Don Chan

Our previous project at Wat Don Chan was a tremendous success and remains one of the most meaningful milestones in our journey of giving. It has been more than two years since that memorable act of merit, and we are pleased to be visiting Chao Khun Anan again in December 2026.

This year, we would like to focus our efforts on three key areas to support the underprivileged children under the care of the temple.

# # # 1. Daily Meals and Nutrition

During our last project, we sponsored 6,000 kg of rice. While this was greatly appreciated, we learned that rice has a limited storage period. As advised by Chao Khun Anan, we will be focusing more on canned food items this time, which have a longer shelf life and can better support the children's daily nutritional needs.

We plan to purchase a variety of canned foods, including sardines, luncheon meat, and other nutritious essentials.

# # # 2. Snacks for the Children

As our visit will take place in December 2026, shortly after Christmas and before the New Year, we would like to share the festive spirit with the children by providing healthy snacks and biscuits.

These treats will be distributed during our visit as a small gesture of joy and encouragement for the children.

# # # 3. Donation to the Temple

We also intend to make a cash sponsorship to the temple to help offset the rising cost of living in Chiang Mai and support its ongoing operations.

After purchasing the food and snacks mentioned above, the remaining funds collected will be presented to Chao Khun Anan to assist with the running of the temple and its charitable activities.

Update

After posting, we can depart!!! Yeah!!!

Long time never try Thai Airways and this happens. All of us stuck inside the plane and just waiting. Maybe they should consider to serve lunch instead.
