🌿🦖 Another wonderful morning out with our Green Steps community!

A big thank you to all the residents who joined us for today’s Jurassic Trail nature walk. It was heartening to see residents of all ages coming together to keep fit, explore new places, enjoy the beautiful parks and scenery, and spend quality time outdoors on such a bright and sunny day ☀️🌳

From the scenic coastal views to the fun dinosaur displays along Changi Jurassic Mile, it was a refreshing and meaningful way to stay active while connecting with neighbours and nature. We are also happy to see many families and seniors walking together and chatting with one another throughout the journey ❤️

Thank you everyone for the positive energy. Looking forward to seeing you again at our next Green Steps monthly walk! 👟🌿

🌟 Project Life Story Officially Kicks Off! 🌟

We are excited to share the successful launch of Project Life Story — a meaningful intergenerational storytelling initiative bringing youths and seniors together to preserve life stories, memories and experiences through conversations, writing and filmmaking.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our very first training workshop led by renowned author and storyteller Felix Cheong. Through his engaging sharing, practical exercises and real-life examples, participants gained valuable insights into interviewing, listening deeply and crafting meaningful stories.

Participants especially enjoyed Felix’s personal stories, article examples and interactive interview sessions which helped them better understand the art of storytelling and human connection.

The workshop received overwhelmingly positive feedback and marked a strong start to the Project Life Story journey.

This is only the beginning — over the next few months, our youths will work alongside seniors to capture stories that deserve to be remembered and passed on to future generations. ❤️

A big thank you as well to our community partners and supporters including People's Association, Bishan Youth Network, National Youth Council Singapore, SCAPE, NLB Singapore, Our Singapore Fund and our participating schools Nanyang Girls' High School 南洋女中, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, Hwa Chong Institution and Temasek Polytechnic for supporting this meaningful journey.

📖✨ PROJECT LIFE STORY – Be Part of Something Meaningful ✨📖

Every senior has a story worth remembering — and every youth has the power to help bring these stories to life.

Project Life Story is a meaningful community initiative bringing together youths and seniors to preserve memories, life lessons and community heritage through storytelling, interviews, writing and short documentary videos.

More than 30 youths from schools including HCI, NYGH, RGS, St. Nicks, SOTA, ITE, the Polytechnics, NUS and NTU have already signed up — and we are now looking to feature 20 seniors from our community to be part of this meaningful storytelling journey.

FOR YOUTHS (16–25)
Learn directly from established mentors in storytelling, writing and filmmaking while building valuable real-world skills.

✨ What an amazing evening under the stars! 🌟🎬🐉

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Movie Under the Stars screening of How to Train Your Dragon at Clover Way Park! From families spreading out picnic mats, to kids laughing and enjoying the cool night breeze, it was truly a wonderful evening filled with smiles, fun and community spirit ❤️

We were thrilled to see a full turnout and even happier to see neighbours, friends and families coming together to relax, enjoy snacks and spend quality time outdoors together. The atmosphere was warm, lively and magical — the perfect night for a movie under the stars ✨

Thank you to all our volunteers, partners and residents who made the event such a success. Your support and enthusiasm made the night extra special!

The Singapore Garden Festival (SGF) returns for its milestone 10th edition at Gardens by the Bay. Centered around the theme "Carnival of Blooms", this biennial event showcases award-winning garden designs and rare floral displays. Bishan East-Sin Ming CSN is organising a bus to this bustling event in July.
