Singapore is a home we have built together — a home where we live, work and play in harmony. Our harmony will always be a work in progress, and we have to protect it.

Our strength has always come from standing united across races, faiths and backgrounds.

We stand together as One Singapore.

We are unshakeable.

On Tuesday, 12 May, OnePeople.sg organised the CultureScope learning journey with Temasek Junior College to deepen students’ understanding of Singapore’s religious diversity. Participants visited the Sree Ramar Temple and Palelai Buddhist Temple, where they were introduced to Hindu and Buddhist beliefs, practices, and values through engaging facilitated conversations and guided tours.

Our HarmonyWorks! Conference (HWC) 2026 organising committee members met for the very first time, bringing together fresh ideas, meaningful conversations, and a shared excitement for what’s ahead!

As our annual youth-led flagship conference, HarmonyWorks! Conference is all about bringing youths together to have meaningful conversations on social cohesion, identify gaps and ideate ground up actions. This first meetup set the tone, with the team getting to know one another while exchanging ideas on emerging issues impacting social cohesion and what we hope to build together.

Beyond the conference, we are shaping a platform where participants can forge new friendships, spark collaborations across communities, and grow youth advocacy.

Be sure to keep an eye out, more details will be coming your way soon!

In March, OPSG, in collaboration with the Singapore Scout Association, organised two CultureScope learning journeys that deepened scouts’ understanding of Singapore’s religious diversity. 43 scouts participated in both sessions.

On 7 March, scouts visited Masjid Petempatan Melayu Sembawang, where Ustaz Huzaifah introduced them to the Islamic faith through meaningful discussions on its key tenets and shared values such as peace and compassion. This was followed on 17 March by a visit to the Central Sikh Gurdwara, where Mdm Hardip Kaur guided the scouts through Sikh beliefs, practices, and the community’s contributions to Singapore.

Across both visits, participants engaged thoughtfully through facilitated discussions and further reflected on how kindness, respect and understanding underpin Singapore’s multicultural harmony.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ustaz Huzaifah and Mdm Hardip Kaur for their warm hospitality and invaluable sharing, which highlighted the importance of fostering interfaith understanding and communal harmony.

In March 2026, OnePeople.sg successfully conducted two runs of Explorations in Ethnicity (EiE) Facilitator Course, bringing together participants from the public and Nanyang Polytechnic. These sessions provided participants with valuable opportunities to deepen their understanding of Singapore’s multicultural landscape and develop facilitation skills to navigate meaningful conversations on social harmony.

Through interactive activities such as role-playing, guided discussions, and collaborative group work, participants gained practical tools to support their facilitation journey and contribute positively to their respective communities. Beyond skill-building, the sessions also created a platform for participants to connect with like-minded peers, fostering meaningful relationships and a shared commitment to promoting harmony and understanding.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated trainers for their invaluable guidance, and to all participants for their enthusiasm and active engagement throughout the sessions.

Swipe to hear from Farzanah, Ruijie, Si Ning and Seedhana as they share their reflections on this enriching experience!💭
