Wait... kidney transplant recipients will have THREE kidneys? 🤯

It sounds unbelievable, but it’s true. Many kidney transplant recipients continue to keep their original kidneys and receive a donated kidney, leaving them with three kidneys in total. In most kidney transplants, the new kidney is added without removing the original two. The transplanted kidney takes over the job of filtering blood and helping the recipient live a healthier life.

A remarkable medical fact—and a powerful reminder of how one donor can transform a life.
