URECA Bonding Day — Our First Ever Get-Together!

We’re excited to invite you to our first-ever URECA Bonding Day, a relaxed and welcoming session designed for you to meet fellow URECA students, make new connections, and unwind a little from research life. Expect lighthearted ice-breaker games, casual conversations, and an open sharing segment where you can ask questions, exchange ideas, and learn from peers (and faculty) about navigating your URECA journey.

Whether you’re just starting out or already deep into your project, this session is a great space to connect, learn, and grow together as a community.

Hi everyone! I'm Esther, your new Publicity & Publications Officer!

I'm a Year 2 Computer Science student in the Turing AI Scholars Program. Something about me, I love to paint , photography, coding and hardware solutions. My research interests lies in AI.

My goal is to showcase all the amazing things our club does! I plan to create engaging and visually appealing content for our social media and website, highlighting all of URECA's opportunities and achievements. I've previously worked as a freelance Social Media Designer. I want to build a vibrant online community where we can all connect and feel a real sense of belonging and excitement.

I'm really looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Hey everyone!
I’m Pranav Karthikeyan, your new Socials VP!

I’m a Year 2 Econ + Public Policy & Global Affairs student who loves to dance and can speak 6 languages.
Though I’m from India, I’ve lived across the world, and I hope to bring that cultural mix into all our events this term. My goal is to make this club not just about research, but also about building real connections and sharing ideas that matter.

Outside NTU, I work in youth empowerment and event management, currently serving as Digital Outreach Secretary for the Commonwealth Youth Council where I represent 1.2B youth.
My personal slogan is
“Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges, Connecting Hearts”
and I can’t wait to make that a reality with you all here!

Hi everyone! I’m Johan, your Vice-President (Academic) for the 20th URECA Club!

I’m a Year 3 Chemistry student with a Second Major in Data Analytics and a Minor in Life Sciences. My research interests bring these fields together with the aim of advancing precision medicine, especially in oncology. Right now, I’m involved in a project studying how tumour vascularisation affects drug resistance using the OrganiX 3D organoid platform, with the broader aim of contributing to more effective and personalised cancer therapies.

I believe undergraduate research is a unique chance to grow beyond the classroom, asking new questions and exploring fresh ideas. As Vice President (Academic), I hope to foster a supportive community where we can learn from each other, share our work with both specialised peers and broader audiences, and build strong networks of peers and mentors. My goal is for URECA to be a space where every member feels encouraged to collaborate and make the most of their research journey. I’m excited to work with all of you and make this year a meaningful one!

Hello! I’m Hui En, and I will be taking over as the URECA President for AY25/26!

I’m a Year 4 Public Policy and Global Affairs major in SSS and my research interest lies in tech policy.

I’m currently working a research, investigating how generative AI is shaping the way students learn, adapt, and sometimes try to get away with using AI without declaring it……

And if that sounded too serious, don’t worry! I’m just pretending that I know what I’m doing half the time 🤣
