[Transforming Security Masterclass]

President, SAS delivered the opening remarks at the Transforming Security Masterclass, organised by Adept Academy and supported by Workforce Singapore.

The masterclass brought together representatives from leading security agencies and progressive security buyers who are keen to explore technology‑driven solutions and have shown strong interest in outcome‑based contracts.

Throughout the session, speakers from various organisations provided valuable insights, offering both consultancy perspectives and technology‑driven approaches to deepen participants’ understanding of modern security operations.

President, SAS signed a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") with the Korea CCTV Industry Cooperative ("KOCIC"), in particular covering collaboration between KOCIC & SAS in video analytics.

The delegation also visited the booths at SECON Expo 2026.

Earlier this afternoon, SAS and A-CERTS signed an MOU to advance fire safety training for security professionals. We were honoured to have SCDF Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Daniel Seet, present to witness the signing.

This collaboration represents a significant milestone for both organisations, strengthening their shared commitment to elevating emergency preparedness and first-response capabilities among security professionals nationwide.

[IMOS 2025], 19 November 2025

President, Security Association Singapore ("SAS") was invited to speak at SBS Transit’s inaugural International Metro Operators’ Summit (IMOS) 2025.

He encouraged how rail operators can leverage proactive security as a competitive differentiator—from integrating technology with frontline operations to building resilient, future-ready security ecosystems.

President, SAS also joined a panel discussion with global metro leaders on the topic of how Safety and Security Risk Management Shape Culture, Trust, and Competitive Edge.

[The Security Event Asia 2025], 11 to 13 November 2025

SAS was honoured to be one of the founding partners of The Security Event Asia and setup a game changer pavilion during the 3-day exhibition. The game changer pavilion showcases the technology that game changes the security industry.

We thank Guest of Honour Ms Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs touring at our Game Changer pavilion.

President, SAS and the Executive Committee is happy to congratulate Honorary Secretary, Mr Selvakumar S/O Panneerselvam, BBM, Vice-Chairman, Ayer Rajah CCC under West Coast-Jurong West GRC, on being conferred The Public Service Star.

The Public Service Star may be awarded to any person:

a. who has rendered valuable public service to the people of Singapore; or

b. who has distinguished himself in the field of arts and letters, sports, the sciences, business, the professions and the labour movement.

The Security Association Singapore (SAS) proudly hosted the Singapore Security Industry Awards (SSIA), recognising Singapore’s top security firms across multiple categories for their excellence, innovation, and contributions to the industry.

Key awards:

For SAS Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Security Industry, the highest award for the security industry, SAS conferred Mr. Steve Tan who has been a transformative figure in Singapore’s private security industry. As Former Executive Secretary of the Union of Security Employees (“USE”), his unwavering commitment has uplifted the livelihoods, professionalism, and dignity of tens of thousands of security officers in the industry.

SAS Life Member was awarded to Mr. Raj Joshua Thomas, Immediate Past President, SAS. Mr. Thomas has made significant contributions to SAS during his 8 years as President, SAS.
