Composium 2026 is crossing borders ✈️🇹🇭

This August, Ding Yi Music Company heads to Bangkok for two performances as part of Composium’s international exchange.

🎶 At the PGVIM International Symposium, we’ll present selected works by our Category B finalists, performed with PGVIM’s string quartet.

🎶 At Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, Music Without Borders: A Singapore–Thailand Musical Dialogue brings together works by Composium adjudicators and Category A finalists.

One of Ding Yi Music Company’s flagship programmes, Composium 2026 - 5th Singapore International Composition Competition is a platform for the creation, development and performance of new works for Chinese chamber music ensemble. From open rehearsals and symposiums to the Prize Presentation Concert, Composium 2026 offers a rare look at how new Chinese chamber music works are created, discussed and performed.  

Composium 2026 is presented by Ding Yi Music Company in collaboration with Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay and Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music.

[FULL HOUSE] Thank you to everyone who joined us at Chasing Light 《追》: Ding Yi × Dick Lee 70 last Saturday!

Many know Dick Lee as one of Singapore’s most celebrated singer-songwriters, but fewer realise that he also wrote many beloved Mandarin and Cantonese hits made famous by renowned artists across Asia. These timeless songs were reimagined by Ding Yi Music Company and our four singers Jessie Yeong, Lennerd Lim, Skye Sirena and Wysom Wong. The evening became even more magical with Dick Lee’s special appearance, performing 爱是永恒 and 追.

We were honoured to welcome our Guest-of-Honour Mr and Mrs Heng Swee Keat, alongside special guests Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, Ding Yi Patron Mrs Goh Chok Tong, Senior Parliamentary Secretary Eric Chua, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Xie Yao Quan, and CEO of NAC, Mrs Elaine Ng.

Thank you to Dick Lee, our artistic team, Resident Conductor Wong De Li, Dedric, Director Jet Ho, our singers, musicians, arrangers, production team, donors, sponsors, supporters, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.

Meet the finalists of Composium 2026! 🎼

This year, we received 95 submissions from 8 countries and regions, from as far as Argentina, Venezuela, and Italy, with composers aged 18 to 58 bringing their voices, ideas and creativity to Chinese chamber music.

Congratulations to our finalists and we look forward to hearing your works come to life this August.
