We watch with concern as northern Thailand gets blanketed by hazardous air pollution. The haze has also affected Mae Hong Son province, where thousands of Karenni refugees live in two camps along the Thai-Myanmar border. Read about our work among the Karenni in the second link below.

We recently organised RSG’s first quarterly update to brief our donors, volunteers, and new friends on the humanitarian responses we had launched, and upcoming projects.

Thanks to the good folks at room2f, we had a very nice and cosy space to use for the session. Studio2f is their newest event space. Check it out at https://www.room2f.sg/studio2f

Where does your drinking water come from? For Singaporeans 🇸🇬, we could drink water straight from the tap. For this Sri Lankan 🇱🇰family that was resettled away from the high-risk area they originally lived in, water had to be manually carried several times each day from a nearby stream, and stored in the blue barrel seen here. This water, however, may not be safe for drinking yet.

What does fruitfulness in a community look like? How could we help others live better lives?

[From Singapore With ❤️]
On 16 December 2025, RSG handed over a batch of 289 household water filters to Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) for distribution to families on the island province of Catanduanes who were affected by Typhoon Fung-wong (Uwan).

The handover ceremony was graced by Manny Pangilinan (Chairman of PDRF, PLDT, Metro Pacific and First Pacific in Hong Kong), Rene “Butch” Meily (President of PDRF), and Veronica Gabaldon (Executive Director of PDRF).

PDRF is the Philippines’ major private sector vehicle and coordinator for disaster resilience. It is an alliance of businesses dedicated to building the disaster management capabilities of the private sector in the country, working on all areas: prevention and mitigation, preparedness, response, and rehabilitation and recovery.

We are pleased and honoured to partner with PDRF, and we pray for God’s mercy on all Filipinos, that He would quicken the end of typhoon season before Christmas.

[CALL TO ACTION - Cyclone Ditwah]
👉 Sponsorship of Water Filters

RSG is looking for sponsors for community water filters to be delivered to Sri Lanka to provide clean water for victims of Cyclone Ditwah, which flooded many parts of the South Asian country, caused massive landslides, killed over 600, and affected 2 million people. We will partner Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management Sri Lanka in the deployment of the water filters, which will be delivered with the support of Airlink.

One ROAMfilter Plus community filter can serve a village of 400-500 persons, and each filter costs S$600. We are targeting 40 units.

Sponsors may use PayNow to make payment: Relief Singapore UEN T14LL0630B. Please indicate “Cyclone Ditwah” under remarks. Any enquiries can be directed to Jonathan via mobile/whatsapp (+65 96668850) or email: [email protected]

It is sad to hear of more rains compounding the suffering of Sri Lankans, who were recently hit by Cyclone Ditwah. RSG is monitoring the situation and preparing to mount a response.

COLOMBO: Heavy rains triggered fresh landslide warnings in Sri Lanka's worst-affected central hills on Friday (Dec 5), as the death toll from last week's Cyclone Ditwah jumped to 607.The National Bui

Thank you dear donors! You have very generously contributed $15,028 for us to procure a total of 289 ROAMfilter Solo household water filters that will be donated to our local partner PDRF for their distribution on the ground.

Supporters flooded our tables last Sunday to sponsor household water filters for Filipinos living in remote Catanduanes, who were affected by Typhoon Fung-wong (Uwan). Many donated online. Many sat down to pen down notes of encouragement that flood victims would receive with the water filters.

We are happy to work with PDRF and Airlink on this intervention. PDRF will distribute the water filters, and Airlink will help get our volunteers to the ground to support the distribution. Our hearts are with all Filipinos affected by these annual disasters. We send aid to you whenever we can, from Singapore with love.

As a follow-up to our recent donation drive in response to Typhoon Kalmaegi (Tino), RSG will be organising another donation drive, this time in response to Typhoon Fung-wong (Uwan).

This Sunday (30 Nov) 10am-2pm, we will be back again at Bethesda Bedok-Tampines Church (BBTC) at its front open-air hall. Come and join us to provide encouragement and humanitarian assistance to the residents of remote Catanduanes island, in eastern Philippines, who were the first to be struck by Typhoon Uwan.

You can do one of two things to help:

1️⃣ WRITE notes of encouragement for affected residents.

FROM SINGAPORE WITH LOVE 👉 We will provide writing materials. Be creative as you write prayers, words of encouragement, and even poetry, which will be sent to cheer and comfort those on the island.

2️⃣ SPONSOR water filters to give to affected households.

Each ROAMfilter Solo unit, which costs $52 each, can remove 99.9999% bacteria and produce 60 litres per hour. Each unit sponsored will allow every home to have clean water for two years.

RSG hopes to send over at least 100 filters generously sponsored by Singaporeans. If you helped sponsor a water filter, we will insert your note of encouragement into the package, so that each family that receives the filter will also receive your prayer and encouragement.

If you are led to help, come visit the tables at:

Bethesda Bedok-Tampines Church
(at the Hallelujah Quadrant)
300 Bedok North Ave 3, Singapore 469717

See you there!

RSG is partnering มูลนิธิร่วมกตัญญู Ruamkatanyu Foundation (RKU) in their response to the Southern Thailand floods in the city of Hat Yai. An RSG team arrived in Hat Yai on 27 Nov, and soon after joined an RKU team in the distribution of food and non-food items to flood victims. A brief evacuation mission was also mounted with the help of RKU to locate stranded Singaporeans. RSG will donate emergency funds of $2,000 to RKU to contribute to their procurement of more relief items.

The humanitarian needs are immense, as residents deal with substantial economic loss, damaged properties, and even deaths.

The RSG team will join RKU in one more relief distribution before heading back to Singapore.

Thank you RKU!
