As parents, one of the most natural areas of our child’s developments that we’d be most concerned in are their academics. After all, we live in Singapore, where performance in school is always strongly emphasised, and to some, this might translate into a real, tangible pressure to perform well.

So then, what happens when our child is not doing that well?

Just as there are appropriate answers your child needs to supply during an examination, so too are there appropriate ways for parents to respond to subpar results or performances. How you respond when your child does not score well in their examinations can make all the difference between scarring them emotionally and imparting the tools and the strength to do better in future.

Our WOW MOM group will be organising a series of online webinars in August, and you’re invited! Titled “Healthy Mom, Happy Home”, the four-part series will delve into topics such as being emotionally healthy, building your influence, deciding when is the right time to give a phone to your child, and how to build their character! 🙎‍♀️ The sessions will run every Thursday evening 8pm - 9.30pm via Zoom, from Aug 6 to Aug 27.
