Calling all couples preparing for marriage, or simply exploring it! 🎺 Marriage is more than a wedding day — it is a lifelong journey of love, commitment and growing together in Christ. Our Marriage Preparation Course (MPC) aims to help couples to lay strong biblical foundations for their marriage as well as equip them with practical skills and knowledge to manage issues relating to marriage to better prepare for life together as husband and wife.

Our next MPC run is now open for registration!

Just like many others who left the working world to be a full-time stay-at-home mom, Mandy initially grappled with the transition in lifestyle. After all, she had been working ever since she was 18, and leaving that world behind to be a full-time mother created struggles with identity and feeling ‘left behind’.

Back in 2022, a friend introduced her to WOW MOM gathering, encouraging her to just come along to connect with fellow mothers who had also left the working world to be a stay-at-home mom. From there, Mandy got to know others who had experienced the same struggles she faced, and that was where she found community. And even though she wasn’t a believer (Mandy’s family was Buddhist all her life), the group readily welcomed her and never once did Mandy feel left out. In fact, she found some of the ‘Christian’ elements when the groups talked about motherhood quite interesting!

Fast forward to May 2025, Mandy was baptised on Mother’s Day, making it a very significant milestone for her. Not only did she accept Christ into her life, but being able to do so on Mother’s Day signified a coming of a ‘full-circle’ moment for her; she initially struggled with transiting to a stay-at-home mom, but that also led her down a path to salvation. ✨

Part of learning more about marriage involves also learning why love fades...and sometimes, it’s not as complicated as it seems.

At the heart of it, one of the main reasons why marriages fail is because they drift towards isolation. One common aspect of this is poor communication, which is often the root cause of other major conflicts. When partners stop sharing their true needs, fears, and daily experiences openly, small misunderstandings turn into deep resentments. Though, conflict itself does not destroy a marriage; rather, it is the inability to repair and reconnect after an argument. Without constructive repair attempts, negative interactions pile up over time.

We all know that we should keep our infants away from digital screen time for as long as possible. But do you know why, and how does it affect brain development?

In a recent story by the Straits Times, studies look into what happens inside a baby’s brain when looking at screens, and the findings are quite interesting!

As we get into the exam season (congratulations to those taking PSLE for finishing!), some may find themselves feeling more stressed than usual.

Here is a simple prayer for families to use, to navigate through this period!

Giving your kids ‘the talk’ is never easy. S*x can feel like a delicate topic, yet culture speaks into it constantly. And if we as parents do not have an active hand in shaping our kids’ perspectives on it, the danger is that they will be shaped by the world, which present a very different view of s*x and the principles around it.

In Singapore, MOE schools teach s*xuality education from Primary 5 through Junior College via Character & Citizenship Education (CCE), Science, and programmes like eTeens. These lessons cover biological mechanics, personal safety, and legal standards like the Section 376A age of consent (16 years). Stay alert and review what is taught. While schools cover mechanics and laws, God positions parents as the primary spiritual guides to shape their children’s hearts and worldviews. This is our sacred calling!

In all our conversations with them, don’t make it awkward. Kids find s*x awkward only if we do. A calm tone makes it normal. Use teachable moments, and listen first, and long. Ask open-ended questions and listen well before offering answers.

Sibling rivalry is normal…but how we respond matters ❤️ Stay calm, avoid comparisons, give each child individual attention, and help them learn to communicate and solve conflicts together. The goal isn’t to stop every disagreement, but to teach them how to handle it with love and respect. 💕

Welcoming children in your marriage is a very blessed milestone. Your family is growing and you now have a little one that will bring much joy to your lives! 👶

However, children can also be a huge distraction and hindrance to a thriving marriage between husband and wife. If not managed properly, all the time, love and dedication can be spent on the child, and the intimate bond between spouses can erode.
