Tonight, no one fought alone. 💜
Thousands gathered at National Stadium The Kallang for the opening night of Singapore Cancer Society – Tamarind Health Relay For Life 2026. And from the very first step, the energy in that stadium was electric.
Speaker of Parliament Mr Seah Kian Peng and Senior Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office and Deputy Secretary-General of National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) Mr Desmond Tan 陈国明, flagged off the Survivors Lap to open the night. Watching cancer survivors lead that first walk around the track, cheered on by thousands, was the kind of moment that stays with you.
Then came one of the most powerful segments of the night. As the stadium fell dark, a sea of colours swept across the grounds during the 'Remember' segment. With Ms Elysa Chen lending her voice through a heartfelt narration, and 11-year-old Titus Teo delivering a deeply moving performance at the Empty Table, it was a moment of collective grief, gratitude, and resolve.
Student group Project Lavande brought incredible energy with their performances, keeping spirits high and the crowd going strong throughout the evening. 🎶
Out on the track, teams and individuals are still pressing through the 100KM Physical Challenge. Because the road that our cancer warriors walk is long, and none of them should walk it alone.
The relay runs through the night, and we're not done yet. 🏃♂️
We're working towards our fundraising goal and we need your help to get there. Your donation supports SCS’s work in continuing to help cancer patients, survivors and their families.
