Join us for The Second Edition, a panel conversation bringing together five writers whose books have been republished with new publishers - revisiting works that have returned to readers in new editions, new contexts, and new forms.

Featuring Alfian Saā€™at, Natalie Wang, Samuel Lee and Ann Ang, with Joshua Ip as moderator.

From poetry and prose to Singlish, supermarkets, metamorphosis and longing, hear from the writers as they revisit these works and the journeys behind their second editions.

How can being vulnerable help you connect with your audiencesā€”on the stage, at the workplace, or in life?

In this masterclass, internationally-touring stand-up comedian Nebulous Niang translates the creative survival skills of the stage into practical editing tools for the page.

Whether you are working through a first line or refining a full draft, this workshop offers a unique lens on making your written voice feel deeply human, accessible, and alive. Drawing from Niangā€™s experiences of growing up and coming out in Singapore, this class invites participants to reach into their own unique experiences, learning to meld comedy, wit and vulnerability towards developing a writing project.

Participants are required to bring along a short writing sample or project pitch to the class.

Thank you for the overwhelming response to Development Lab. Our small team enjoyed reading all your project proposals, and are so heartened that the open call resonated with so many of you.

This project was dreamed up as part of Spoken Word Studios, a ground-up initiative to grow and support the spoken word scene in Singapore, and we are so grateful that our tiny call from Singapore found its way to you.

Camp Lit 2026: Sing Lit Pop Hunters is Sing Lit Stationā€™s annual creative writing camp for students aged 13 to 16. Over three days, campers will take part in workshops by local writers, meet other teens interested in creative writing and explore their own voice, all inspired by the Netflix film K-pop Demon Hunters.

With only 30 spots, your young writer gets close guidance from facilitators throughout.

1 to 3 December 2026 at lyf Funan. Early Bird rate ends 30 September.

INTRODUCING: OUR PROGRAMME LINEUP

What does it take to build a home for spoken word? And what happens beyond the 20-minute set?

The second half of Spoken Word Studios features two concurrent sessions: a conversation about what it means to build and sustain community in Singaporeā€™s spoken word scene, and a closed-door project development session.

Weā€™ll close the day with an evening celebration at Coup Bar, with live performances, a DJ set, and an open mic. Swipe to meet our artists!

Co-designed by Melizarani T. Selva and Pooja Nansi, Spoken Word Studios is a full day dedicated to the craft and practice of spoken word. It creates space to get into the work around the stage: craft and process, producing and sustaining a practice, and what it takes to grow an idea beyond a set.
