Selamat Hari Raya Haji 🌙✨

Wishing our Muslim friends and community a blessed Hari Raya Haji. May this meaningful season of sacrifice, compassion, and togetherness bring moments of reflection and connection with loved ones. 💚

At Extra•Ordinary People, we remain committed to advancing a more inclusive society for persons with special needs — one where every individual is empowered to shine in their own unique way.

This artwork was created by Zafirah, an emerging artist from Extra•Ordinary People’s Creative Lab. Much like her artwork, Zafirah is filled with sweetness and fun. Her vibrant colour palette brings delight to everyone who encounters her work. A bubbly and diligent artist, she hopes to keep sharing her art with others in little ways.

May we continue creating spaces where every individual feels seen, valued, and included.

Extraordinary People Limited is incredibly blessed to be the charity partner for The Giving Grind by Credence Cares.

More than a fitness challenge, this event was a powerful reflection of endurance, determination, resilience, and community spirit. Every station reminded us of the daily journey many caregivers and families walk quietly and courageously every single day.

What touched us most deeply was the heart behind the event. Credence didn’t just raise funds for the community, they intentionally invited our beneficiaries and caregivers to be part of the experience. That gesture meant so much. It was a reminder that inclusion is not about charity alone, but about belonging.

For many caregivers, life is a marathon of love, sacrifice, perseverance, and unseen battles. We may never be able to fully take away their burdens or worries for the future… but together, we can build a society that is more compassionate, embracing, and willing to walk the journey alongside them. Thank you to Zafirah and mom, Jacob and mom for joining us.

Thank you Credence Cares for showing that every meter, every effort, and every act of kindness can create real impact.
Because sometimes, the greatest strength is simply knowing you are not walking alone. 💙

Now in its 4th year, our annual signature event - An Extra•Ordinary Evening, Flavours & Origins proved that some traditions only grow more unique with time, transforming our annual charity dinner into a completely fresh celebration of culture, music, and community.

What makes this year truly distinct is how our global village keeps evolving. Every embassy brought entirely new heritage-rich dishes to the table—sparking fresh conversations and deeper cross-cultural connections through the universal language of food.

The evening also marked a beautiful milestone for our beneficiaries. Taking the stage with incredible growth and confidence, our EPL Drum Ensemble and VPop performers stole the show and filled the room with a quiet sense of pride, joy and hope felt not only by the audience but, more importantly, by their caregivers.

Deepest Gratitude
A heartfelt thank you to our co-host, His Excellency Agustín García López Loaeza, Ambassador of Mexico, for anchoring the evening so meaningfully.

We are also grateful to the ambassadors who contributed their time, stories, and dishes:
His Excellency Cao Zhongming (China),
His Excellency Dante Brandi (Italy),
His Excellency Hong Jin-wook (Republic of Korea),
and His Excellency Carlos Pires (Portugal).

It was equally meaningful to welcome back familiar faces from past years — including His Excellency Sok Khoeun (Cambodia) and Her Excellency Sarah McGrath (Ireland) — a reminder that this community continues to grow.

We were also glad to welcome the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Singapore, His Excellency Tran Phuoc Anh.

To every partner, friend, and supporter who joined us, our warmest appreciation once again for your steadfast encouragement. Your presence directly fuels the mission of Extra•Ordinary People, helping us build inclusive spaces where individuals with disabilities can grow, be seen, and thrive.

It started with a game, and ended with new friendships 💛

On a sunny morning at East Coast Park, our beneficiaries met the students from Victoria Junior College’s Good Shepherd group for a day of games and a picnic. What began as simple ice-breakers soon turned into laughter, shared moments, and genuine connections.

Some recognised familiar faces from before. Others were meeting for the first time. But as the games went on and the conversations grew, everyone found their place in the group.

There were little moments that made the day special. A helping hand during a game. Friends cooling off together with water play. Sitting side by side over snacks, chatting like they had known each other for much longer.

These are the moments that remind us what inclusion can look like. It does not have to be big or complicated. Sometimes, it is just about showing up, making space, and spending time together.

Thank you to the VJC students for bringing so much heart and care to the day.

If you would like to organise a similar session with us, feel free to reach out.

Today, we observe World Autism Awareness Day 💙

A day to recognise and celebrate individuals on the autism spectrum, their strengths, perspectives, and the unique ways they experience the world.

Fun fact:
Autism is a spectrum, which means every individual is different and has their own strengths and support needs.

Let’s continue to build a more understanding and inclusive community where everyone is supported to thrive.

A Good Morning with Rainbow Centre, Singapore 💛

We were glad to be part of the carnival by Rainbow Centre, where we connected with caregivers, youths and educators, sharing more about the pathways and programmes at Extra•Ordinary People.

From employment to the arts and independent living, it was meaningful to journey alongside families as they explore what comes next.

🌟 Thank You, NATAS & EU Holidays 🌟

We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of NATAS 2026 once again, and for the continued support in creating a platform where inclusion comes to life.

A special thank you to EU Holidays for supporting inclusive travel experiences across three countries, making it possible for families with persons with disabilities to consider journeying together with greater confidence and support.

Travelling abroad can be a new and sometimes worrying experience for persons with disabilities and their families — new sights, sounds, and routines can feel overwhelming. With gentle planning, support, and pacing thoughtfully integrated into the tour, we hope to ease families into these experiences in a way that feels safe and enjoyable.

✨ This is a meaningful first step, and we look forward to creating more inclusive travel opportunities together.

If your family is keen to learn more, do reach out to EU Holidays directly for further details on upcoming trips.

PM us and type "inclusive travel" and you will get a copy of travel checklist from us.

Coming together to make something extra•ordinary 💛

Yesterday, we brought our partners, educators and supporters together for An Extra•Ordinary Celebration (AEC) 2026. It was a special moment after many conversations behind the scenes.

AEC is more than a concert. It is a celebration of talent, inclusion and community, where performers from special education and mainstream schools take the stage together.

This is just the beginning ✨

Stay tuned for AEC on 30 July 2026.

A morning of laughter, connection, and shared experiences 💛

We recently came together with volunteers from Victoria Junior College’s Good Shepherd Group and our beneficiaries for an EPL Games Day & Picnic at Kallang Riverside Park.

From icebreaker games to a scenic walk along the Kallang River, the day was filled with energy, friendship, and meaningful interactions. It was heartening to see conversations flow from music interests to everyday moments and creating genuine connections beyond the activities.

This initiative not only created a joyful experience for our beneficiaries, but also gave youths a deeper understanding of inclusion and community.

We look forward to more collaborative efforts that bring people together and create shared moments that matter.

If your organisation is keen to collaborate or organise similar initiatives, we’d love to hear from you.
