Congratulations 🎊

Renowned mountaineer and our esteemed Scouter, Prakash Raj Pandey, has achieved another remarkable feat by successfully summiting the highest peak in South America. On February 6, he triumphantly ascended Mount Aconcagua, located in Argentina. At 7:50 AM local time, Pandey proudly hoisted both the World Scouting Flag and the Nepal Scouts Flag at the summit of Aconcagua, marking a historic moment.

This achievement is part of his ambitious expedition to conquer the highest peaks across all seven continents. Pandey has already scaled numerous prominent mountains worldwide, including the iconic Mount Everest, further solidifying his legacy as an accomplished mountaineer and a proud representative of Nepal and the Scouting movement.

Bangladeshi authorities have taken three student leaders, who helped coordinate rallies against government job quotas, from a hospital following days of deadly nationwide protests and state-imposed curfews and communication blocks.

Officers reportedly forced the discharge of three leaders of the Students Against Discrimination movement from the Gonoshasthaya Kendra hospital in the capital, Dhaka, on Friday.

Police had initially denied that Nahid Islam, Abu Bakar Mazumdar and Asif Mahmud were taken into custody. But Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan subsequently told reporters: “They themselves were feeling insecure. They think that some people were threatening them.”
