VETRI MAYIL – FROM A PAINTED TILE TO A COMMUNITY LEGACY
A story that began 15 years ago is coming full circle.
On 10 February 2011, during the groundbreaking ceremony of ACE The Place Community Club, Mr S Venkatesh Naidu outlined a peacock-inspired design on tiles. VETRI-IAEC members came together to paint it, creating an identity that would represent our community for years to come.
Those very tiles remain on the second floor of ACE The Place CC today.
On 2 December 2012, Mr Naidu transformed the artwork into VETRI's first digital logo, which continued to represent us through years of change and growth.
Fast forward to 2026.
Mr Naidu returns and brings that same vision into a new chapter — VETRI Mayil.
This time, our canvas is a magnificent 3D-printed peacock, created entirely in white.
And just like in 2011, we are coming together to give it colour. Only this time, the entire community is invited!
A Collaboration Beyond Boundaries
Bringing VETRI Mayil to life is a collective effort involving four organisations:
1) VETRI-IAEC @ ACE The Place CC – Conceptualisation, community engagement and coordination.
2) SVN Pte Ltd – AI-assisted creative design and digital development.
3) Build It Shape Pte Ltd – Large-scale 3D printing and fabrication.
4) MAYURA – Artistic direction and community painting guidance.
Together, we are combining technology, artistry and community spirit to create something truly meaningful.

From 16–18 October 2026, we invite residents of all ages to pick up a brush and leave their mark on VETRI Mayil as we attempt the Singapore Book of Records title:
