On 23 January, we held our Open House at the Hillcrest Arcadia function room. It was a wonderful day of celebration that truly reflected the spirit of generosity and giving within our community. Ten exhibits created by our members were on display, most of them inspired by the Chinese New Year theme.

Our auctioneer, Anita, led a lively and successful auction. Before each round of bidding began, she invited the designers to share the story behind their creations: the design concept, the theme, and the meaning of the materials used. In several cases, the room came alive with enthusiastic bidding as participants competed to bring home their favourite arrangements!

It was a joyful event made possible by the generosity of everyone who attended. A big thank you to all who contributed and supported this meaningful initiative.

The total amount raised from the Open House was $2,057 (including $1,814 from the Exhibits), with a net amount of $1,620. These funds will be used to support floral arrangement workshops for patients and clients of:

• SingHealth Community Hospitals
• ARC Children’s Centre

Following the auction, members enjoyed a hands-on workshop led by Evelyn Chia, who taught us how to create preserved flower fridge magnets. With Evelyn’s gentle guidance, everyone successfully crafted a lovely magnet to take home.

The day concluded with a cheerful Chinese New Year celebration, beginning with a lively Yu Sheng toss, followed by delicious festive treats as we welcomed the Year of the Fire Horse together.

Our Christmas program on 12 December was truly a lovely way to wrap up the year. We enjoyed a wonderful demonstration and workshop filled with festive ideas and practical techniques that many of us can apply during this holiday season.

As always, Christina Pang never failed to impress, from her clear and detailed instructions to her stunning arrangements, witty humour, and incredible generosity in giving away all her demo pieces. It was inspiring, fun, and full of learning.

After our time at the cosy Creativeworkz Studio, we continued the celebration with a scrumptious lunch at F’east Cafe, where we had the chance to mingle, exchange Christmas wishes, and look ahead to the new year together.

A heartfelt thank you to Christina for leading such a joyful session, to our committee members for their hard work behind the scenes, and to everyone who joined us to celebrate, support, and also renew your membership with the Singapore Flower Club for 2026.

Wishing everyone a warm and festive season ahead.

🌿✨ A Stunning Friday with Leli! ✨🌿

Last Friday’s workshop with Leli was nothing short of inspiring. She brought an incredible selection of tropical blooms and foliage, and everyone loved exploring their bold colours and textures.

Leli showed us creative ways to manipulate leaves to add interest and movement, and demonstrated the power of grouping techniques to achieve beautiful, cohesive arrangements.

For Part 2, we pushed our creativity even further — combining tables to build an impressive 8-meter floral display! Alongside fruits, linen, and our individual arrangements, the final setup was breathtaking. The room was filled with amazed smiles — a true celebration of teamwork and artistry. 💐✨

Our October workshop was pure floral magic! ✨
A Friday morning of inspiration with Denmy Lam🌹

Denmy wowed us with two stunning creations — a tall sculptural design flowing with amaryllis and clematis, and a graceful horizontal piece featuring calla lilies and white cymbidium.

During the hands-on session, participants built their own wire structures and filled them with blooms, each design reflecting their unique style. The room came alive with colour, joy, and creativity! 💐

Huge thanks to Denmy for her artistry and to all members for your wonderful energy — what a beautiful Friday morning spent among flowers and friends. 💖
