โœจ Our seniors had a fantastic time at the annual SportSG ActiveX Playdate with Bedok South Secondary School on 23 July 2026! ๐Ÿ’™

From adaptive sports and National Day pendant-making to a walk around the field, refreshments, and wonderful singing by the teachers and students, it was a fun-filled day of laughter and meaningful intergenerational bonding. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Celebrating National Day Together! ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ

On 7 August 2026, seniors from PCS Cedar Tree AAC @ Tampines West 827A visited Little Olive Tree Pasir Ris 21 for a fun-filled National Day celebration!

The seniors and children enjoyed bingo, cardio drumming, singing, dancing, lunch and a National Day handicraft activity together. It was a joyful day of bonding and celebrating across generations! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ

๐Ÿ˜ด Snoring Talk for Seniors!

We had an insightful session by Ms Amanda Teo, Sleep Technologist from Changi General Hospital, where our seniors learned more about snoring, sleep health and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA).

Through the talk, seniors gained a better understanding of:
โœจ What contributes to snoring
โœจ The anatomy of the upper airway
โœจ Why the airway can become narrowed during sleep
โœจ How snoring can be a precursor to OSA
โœจ Warning signs to look out for and when to seek help

A meaningful session to help our seniors better understand the importance of good sleep and healthy breathing. ๐Ÿ’คโค๏ธ

A special shoutout to our Seated Floorball team for fighting hard and emerging 3rd in the Heats, securing a spot in the Finals, which ended last Tuesday, 4th August! ๐Ÿฅ‰๐Ÿ‘

Regardless of the results, we are incredibly proud of all our seniors who participated in the Senior National Games 2026, as well as stepping out of their comfort zones, challenging themselves and competing alongside seniors from other AACs across different zones. โค๏ธ

Itโ€™s not just about winning or losing โ€” itโ€™s about the courage, experience and friendships gained along the way!

Our seniors had an informative session learning about the importance of strength training for healthy ageing. ๐Ÿ’ช

They discovered the many benefits of strength training, explored different types of strength exercises, and learnt where they can access strength training programmes within the community to stay active, strong, and independent.
