ACF invites experienced coffee professionals to apply as Appreciators for the ACF Coffee Excellence Awards (ACEA) 2026, held in conjunction with the ASEAN International Coffee Summit (AICS) 2026.

Be part of a professional appreciation panel dedicated to recognising and celebrating high-quality green coffee from producers across the region, using the ACF Coffee Appreciation Protocol (ACAP).

Who Can Apply?
• Graduates or trainers under the ACF education system
• Experienced coffee professionals with prior judging, appreciation or evaluation experience

Kenny will explore the emerging diversity of coffee beyond Arabica and Robusta, focusing on Liberica and the newly recognised Libex hybrid between Liberica and Excelsa.

Drawing on genomic research and field experience in Sarawak, it examines how coffee biodiversity and genetic diversity could support new opportunities in breeding, climate adaptation and crop development, while challenging conventional ideas about coffee varieties.

The presentation highlights the potential of lesser-known coffee species to shape the future of coffee and create distinctive coffees with strong regional identities.
