We exist to empower solutions for a more sustainable future and nurture impact-driven entrepreneurs and young leaders to enter the workforce. Young Sustainable Impact was started in Oslo, Norway by a group of youths passionate about bringing young people around the world together to tackle the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. The team saw a lack of start-ups in the field of sustainable develop
ment who wanted to alleviate bigger world problems, and decided to bridge the gap between idea generation and impact, as well as engage youth in sustainability and entrepreneurship. In 2017, following an overwhelming response of 10,053 applicants from 170 countries, and the immense success of the global programme, YSI decided to expand to 5 new regions: Korea, China, Bangladesh, Canada, and Southeast Asia. Based in Singapore, we hope to empower young Southeast Asians to create sustainable, impactful solutions to the sustainability challenges faced by the region, as well as present them with the platform and opportunity to make a difference in their own neighbourhoods and everyday lives. In addition, YSI SEA aims to be a community that brings together the brightest, most dedicated young minds of Southeast Asia to share in and connect over the causes they’re most passionate about.
