St Michael’s Soccer Association

St Michael’s Soccer Association To provide a quality developmental programme which empowers children through soccer. The St Michael’s Soccer Academy has been around since 2007. ii. iii. iv. v.

It was started as an initiative of the SJI Old Boys’ Association and a few parent volunteers who had the vision of creating an environment of father-and-son bonding amidst the love of learning and playing the sport of football, and providing the opportunity to instill upon the children sportsmanship, discipline, integrity and life long passion and service. This informal Academy grew from a handful

of children, coached by keen fathers every Saturday morning, to one numbering more than 150 children and coached by professional coaches, many amongst the very best available in Singapore. On 23 March 2015, the St. Michael’s Soccer Association was formally gazetted as a registered Association under the Registry of Societies, Singapore and now runs the Academy. The object of this Association is to provide a quality developmental programme which empowers the children from St Joseph’s Institution Junior (SJI Junior), St Joseph’s International (SJI International) and St Joseph’s Institution Independent (SJI Independent) by:
i. Engaging in an activity that promotes teamwork, individual skill, athleticism, talent, problem solving and the ability to overcome difficult situations. Playing a role in the development of character and leadership qualities (sense of fair play, sportsmanship, self-control and self-discipline) both on and off the field of play. Providing a social platform for parent-child bonding. Providing a social platform for past and present students of the school to interact. Cultivating a closer relationship between SJI Junior, SJI Independent and SJI International. In furtherance of the above objects, the Association's other intents are to raise funds for the needy and less privileged students of SJI Junior, expose the children to charitable works and to give under-privileged children from any school the opportunity to learn to play soccer. To imbue children from families of all backgrounds with a sense of service and community, moulding them into “Men of Integrity and Men for Others”.

🛡️ Team Spotlight: Our Rock-Solid U11s in Pattaya! 🇹🇭🦅

Our U11 squad showed incredible defensive discipline at the Thailand International Youth Cup 2026!

▪️The Stat: Conceded only 1 goal across 7 group stage games! 🧱

▪️The Group Run: Finished 3rd, level on points with 2nd place (the eventual tournament champions), missing out on a top-two spot only on goal difference.

The boys earned massive praise from opposing coaches for their performance. The coaching team is ready to build on these positives and sharpen our finishing back home! 📈⚽

🥇 Team Spotlight: Our Resilient U12s in Pattaya! 🇹🇭🦅

Our U12 squad showed incredible grit at the Thailand International Youth Cup 2026, bouncing back to finish 3rd in their Plate group! ⚽🔥🧠

▪️The Challenge: Balancing a vital PSLE academic year alongside their football commitments.

▪️The Toughest Block: The boys were drawn directly against the two best teams in the tournament, who went on to become the champions and runner-up in the Cup category.

Missing out on the top tier knockout due to a tough group draw didn't stop them. They shifted focus to the Plate category, fought for every ball, and raised their game to meet the international standards. They return to Singapore stronger, wiser, and hungrier! 🇸🇬✈️

Thank you to our dedicated coaches and fantastic parents for the amazing support! 📣❤️

Our U7 squad has put in the work since February, successfully transitioning from the training pitch to competitive matchplay, earning their match kits. From the weekly JSSL League fixtures to the international environment of the JSSL 7s tournament, this season provided critical match exposure.

The players competed with immense character, developed tactical cohesion, and thoroughly earned their medals. 🏅✨

Building from the ground up takes time, but these boys are proving that hard work pays off. An outstanding thank you to our parents for their unwavering baseline support all season. 📈
