6 jigsaw puzzles and 1 determined visitor who finished them all. That was the highlight of our AUPE booth at NHB's Staff Get-Together on 13 August! 🧩

And there was plenty more to keep everyone occupied. We had metal puzzles to untangle, Singapore landmark jigsaws to piece together and identify, a wellness trivia quiz, and a message wall for notes of encouragement and gratitude.

But more importantly, the booth gave us a great opportunity to connect with NHB staff. We caught up with familiar faces, met new ones, and shared more about what AUPE does to support public officers throughout their career journey.

Celebrating Singapore with ICA

We were glad to join ICA's National Day Bazaar for an afternoon of festivities as we geared up to mark Singapore's 61st birthday! ❤️🤍

ICA staff enjoyed some well-deserved ice cream, shared their appreciation and wishes for Singapore on our message board, and took part in our Flip-Card Challenge to test their knowledge of Singapore’s item declaration rules. The fun continued with our local landmark jigsaw puzzles, where visitors pieced together and identified some of the iconic sights that make Singapore home.

The bazaar was also a valuable opportunity for us to engage with the ICA officers, share more about AUPE’s role in supporting and representing public officers, and strengthen our connection with the community we serve.

As we celebrate 61 years of Singapore, we look forward to continuing to play our part in building a stronger public service community together! 💪

At the CAAS CARES Lifestyle Bazaar, AUPE met with CAAS officers at our booth, checking in on their well-being and highlighting how we work closely with management to safeguard and enhance employee benefits.

To keep learning interactive, officers took on metal puzzles and flip-card challenges on item declaration rules, before spinning our digital prize wheel to unlock giveaways. They were then encouraged to complete light-hearted wellness prompts such as taking a 2-minute screen break or drinking 2 liters of water, in a bid to cultivate healthy daily habits.

We also invited CAAS officers to join the Labour Movement, because a united workforce means stronger representation for workers' rights and welfare for all. 🤝

Last Thursday, AUPE members came together to catch the premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to unwind, enjoy the movie and spend some quality time together outside of work. 🍿

A new chapter begins! 🤝

On 30 July 2026, AUPE and Republic Polytechnic (RP) marked an important milestone with the signing of our inaugural Collective Agreement (CA), with RP represented by Principal & CEO Ms. Jeanne Liew and AUPE represented by our General Secretary Mr. Sanjeev Tiwari.

More than a formal agreement, this CA reflects our shared commitment to building a workplace founded on mutual respect, trust, fairness and collaboration. As the first CA between AUPE and RP, it establishes a strong foundation for future labour-management relations and provides a structured framework for employees' terms and conditions of service.

At the heart of every successful CA is partnership. Collective bargaining is about listening, understanding one another, and finding common ground that supports both employees and the organisation.

As shared by Mr. Tiwari:
"We will work together and do our best within the parameters outlined in our Collective Agreement so that we can do more for our members and officers. This is just the start, and I'm very sure we will grow from strength to strength. I look forward to this partnership."

Here's to many more milestones together as we continue building a stronger workplace for RP employees! 💪

From June to July 2026, the AUPE Daily Rated Workers' Branch, together with our Industrial Relations Executives, visited various NEA sites to distribute handheld fans to converted monthly rated employees (CMREs) who are AUPE Members.

As temperatures continue to rise, this small token of appreciation was our way of thanking our members for their dedication, hard work, and unwavering service. We hope the handheld fans will help them stay a little cooler while carrying out their important work. 💚

A heartfelt thank you to NEA HR for their strong support in making this distribution exercise possible. We would also like to express our appreciation to AUPE Daily Rated Workers' Branch Chairman Mr Raman Kathavarayan, Branch Secretary Mr Subari Bin Samuri, and Assistant Secretary Mr Perumal Manickam for their time, commitment, and dedication throughout the initiative.
