As we conclude our Red Shield Event 2026, held on 24 July 2026 at Capella Singapore, we are deeply grateful and humbled by the overwhelming support shown for our programmes and beneficiaries across our social services. Your generosity enables us to continue uplifting lives through eldercare, children and youth development, migrant worker outreach, prison support services, and many other initiatives that bring hope to those in need.

To date, we have raised over S$1.4 million to power this critical work, ensuring that we can continue serving the vulnerable regardless of age, race, or religion. This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the steadfast support of our donors, partners, volunteers, and the wider community, whose compassion continues to transform lives.

We were honoured to have Jasmin Lau, Acting Minister for Manpower and Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information, grace the occasion as our Guest of Honour. In her address, she shared how digital knowledge and tools can serve as a vital lifeline - bridging gaps, fostering inclusion, and empowering isolated and vulnerable members of our community to remain connected and supported.

As we move forward, The Salvation Army remains committed to the spirit of this year's theme, "United for Generations." Together, we will continue bringing people of all ages together in a shared call to kindness, compassion, and service, creating stronger communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Happy 61st Birthday, Singapore! ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ

This National Day, we honour every Singaporean who quietly goes beyond in their own way; caregivers, volunteers, donors, and the everyday heroes whose kindness shapes the soul of our nation.

As we celebrate 61 years of independence, we recommit ourselves for the seniors in our care, the children we protect, the desistors and families we serve, and migrant workers we walk with - letโ€™s keep going beyond, together ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Painting the Future with Creativity and Heart ๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ๐Ÿ’•

Our children and youths at Gracehaven spent a meaningful morning with volunteers from ASEAN Cableship Pte Ltd (ACPL) at a tote bag art jam, part of their 40th Anniversary CSR initiative. With patient guidance and encouragement, simple tote bags were transformed into unique creations - each telling its own story.

Beyond expression, art creates a safe space for our youths to explore emotions, build confidence, and find healing through creativity. ๐ŸŽจ

A heartfelt thank you to all ACPL volunteers for making this experience so meaningful! ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ

We are deeply honoured to be presented with an Appreciation Award at the Centre for Domestic Employees (CDE)'s 10th Anniversary Celebration on 21 June 2026. ๐ŸŒŸ

Programme Manager at Carehaven, Ms. Maureen Kho, received the award on behalf of The Salvation Army from Guest of Honour Mr. Dinesh Vasu Dash, Senior Minister of State for Manpower - a recognition we receive with deep humility and gratitude.

The Salvation Army's Carehaven and Sojourn offers crisis and practical support for female and male migrant workers respectively, including foreign domestic workers, who have experienced trauma or displacement. Beyond providing a safe space, both programmes aim to give a voice to those who are often left unheard; attending to their daily needs, providing counselling and casework support, and facilitating meaningful activities that help to restore their confidence for the future.

A heartfelt congratulations to CDE on a remarkable decade of championing the welfare and dignity of Singapore's domestic employees. Thank you for your unwavering commitment, and for walking alongside us in creating safe spaces for those who are too often left unseen and unheard. Here's to many more years of standing together for those who need it most. ๐Ÿ’›
