APKIM RESOURCES was founded by Almarhum Ustaz Abu Bakar Hashim, retired President of Syariah Court and previously Registrar of ROMM. He was in various advisory boards with various Ministries, President of PERGAS and had served in the FATWA Committee and board of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore. Having been well exposed to the Muslim community’s issues, APKIM was set up to help address

some of them directly. APKIM's Marriage Preparation Courses was designed to address couples’ concerns and potential issues as they prepare for their marriages. The courses are intensive and holistic, relevant for today’s couples. Ustaz Sallim Jasman, retired Senior President of Syariah Court is the current Advisor and Consultant. Under his leadership, APKIM has expanded its role to provide more services under its registered society, APKIM Center for Social Service (ACOSS). Among ACOSS’ services is a partnership with the Syariah Court in handling counseling cases for marital issues and with the Ministry of Social and Family Development in providing counseling for Domestic Violence Cases as well as Adoption services. APKIM has conducted numerous programs and has worked with various organizations, schools and Ministries to bring the programs to the community.
