🇸🇬 Celebrating National Day at Bishan Home! 🇸🇬

Last Friday afternoon, 14 August 2026, our residents, DAC clients and staff came together to celebrate National Day with an afternoon filled with fun, laughter and festive cheer! ❤️🤍

We were honoured to have our Chairman, Mr Lau Wah Ming, grace the celebration and join our residents and staff in marking this special occasion.

The afternoon was filled with exciting activities, as our residents and DAC clients enjoyed playing games, singing along to National Day songs and dancing together. It was heartwarming to see everyone joining in the festivities and enjoying the joyful atmosphere.

A big thank you to our dedicated staff and everyone who helped make the celebration a meaningful and memorable one for our residents.

It was a wonderful afternoon of coming together to celebrate Singapore and the spirit of togetherness! 🇸🇬✨

Once again, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the management team and staff of Hiro Engineering Pte Ltd, led by Mr Chandra and Ms Serene, for visiting Bishan Home this morning (6 August 2026) and for your continued annual in-kind donations.

We are also grateful for your hands-on support in unloading, sorting, and moving the donated items to their respective locations.

Your unwavering support year after year means a great deal to our residents and the Home. We truly value this long-standing partnership and look forward to continuing to build a more caring and inclusive community together. Thank you once again!

On 19 July 2026, we collaborated with Bishan Community Club to organise "Free Your Mind, I See You", an intergenerational art and poetry programme. Our residents, seniors from Bishan, and 40+ students came together through art, poetry, and conversations, fostering meaningful connections while promoting empathy, inclusion, and greater understanding across generations.

A blooming day out at the Singapore Garden Festival! 🌸🌿

A heartfelt thank you to NParks for extending the invitation to Bishan Home and to our wonderful volunteers for accompanying our residents throughout this meaningful outing. A special thank you to Dr Janet Fung for coordinating the volunteers and helping to make the day run so smoothly.💚

From breathtaking floral displays and inspiring garden exhibitions to the beautiful scenery at Gardens by the Bay, our residents had a delightful time soaking in the vibrant colours and creativity all around them. We are also grateful to the friendly guides who thoughtfully brought us through the exhibits, making the experience engaging, enjoyable, and accessible for everyone.

Thank you to everyone who made this memorable outing possible. Your kindness, support, and companionship brought smiles to our residents and made the day truly special! 🌼✨

Happy Belated Birthday, Shane!

Thank you for inviting our residents, together with seniors from across Singapore, to a wonderful afternoon last weekend. We truly enjoyed the delicious lunch thoughtfully prepared by Mapollo Catering PTE LTD, the lively performances featuring nostalgic songs in various dialects by the talented artistes, and we sincerely thank you for arranging the transport for our residents too.

We are also grateful for the generous ang baos you handed to each of our residents. Your thoughtfulness and generosity made the celebration even more special and brought many smiles to their faces. To end the afternoon on a high note, we were delighted by your heartfelt performance of 《看着我的眼睛说》. It was a memorable finale that left everyone with warm smiles and wonderful memories.

We were deeply touched that you chose to celebrate your 21st birthday by giving back to the community. Your kindness created a memorable day filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful connections. Wishing you a wonderful year ahead and every success as you embark on this new chapter of your life!
