ASIA is an Access association and welcomes contractors, suppliers, training providers, safety consultancies from all access trades. In a response to the call by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for industry players to take ownership of the outcomes of safety performance and professional conduct, founding members of Access & Scaffold Industry Association (A.S.I.A) got together and committed to rise u
p to the challenge. In the last five years, scaffolding companies pushed for higher standards in the er****on, maintenance and dismantling of their scaffolds, work groups are formed to deal with the issues of the relevance of timber scaffolding, importance of Work-At- Height safety as well as safe use of Mobile Elevated Work Platforms. ASIA also provided training for Metal Scaffold Supervisors as well as Building Construction Safety Supervisors, educating and qualifying entrants to the industry. Trades currently represented are Scaffolding, Mobile Elevated Work Platform, Industrial Rope Access, Work at Height Training, Mast Climbing Work Platforms, Suspended Scaffolds and Timber Scaffolds.
