The UWCSEA Dover IDEAS Hub will inspire and support our community to explore, innovate, collaborate and create sustainable solutions to shape a better world. The IDEAS Hub draws inspiration from the Maker movement and social enterprise collaborative spaces like Impact Hub. It
provides a physical location where people gather to share resources and work on projects, by
learning from each other through collaboration and networking; as well as providing access to
mentorship and event programmes. The IDEAS Hub will achieve its mission in four key ways:

● providing an inviting and wellequipped space that encourages collaboration and supports
multidisciplinary thinking and skill development

● the development and delivery of an innovative events programs that reaches out to to all members
of the UWCSEA community

● the development of a mentoring programme to support individuals and groups in developing ideas
and skills

● building and leveraging links with like minded organisations in Singapore and beyond

♻️ Plastic, but make it art.

Grade 4 took their Art class into the IDEAS Hub for a Plastic Fusion project!

Using recycled materials like yarn, fabric and magazine cut-outs, students created their own compositions inside repurposed plastic packaging, choosing colours, textures and arrangements to make each piece their own.

Then came the heat press… fusing all those layers and ideas together into something completely new. ✨

A creative way to explore how everyday materials can be reimagined through art and making. 💚
