Pro Bono SG Empowering the least, the last, and the lost in law through awareness, guidance and representation.

Pro Bono SG serve the community by facilitating access to justice for the needy and vulnerable so that all may have access to justice in Singapore. Our Objectives:

We work to:
(a) develop and ensure a just and efficient system for the provision of pro bono legal services in Singapore;
(b) coordinate the provision of civil, criminal and community pro bono legal services with various agencies;
(c) recruit, train and manage volunteers from the legal fraternity and beyond for the provision of pro bono services;
(d) identify areas of need in the community for pro bono legal services; and
(e) protect and assist the public on matters of the law relevant to their lives, particularly through programmes to develop public legal literacy.

Last Saturday, Pro Bono SG, the five Community Development Councils (CDCs) and Ministry of Law officially launched Law Awareness Weeks @ CDC (LAW@CDC) 2026, themed 200 Years of Law in Singapore: What It Means to You.

Held in conjunction with SGLaw200, this year’s LAW@CDC was launched by Mr Edwin Tong, SC, Minister for Law, Second Minister for Home Affairs and Deputy Chairman of People’s Association, Pro Bono SG’s Chairman Designate, Ms Vivenne Lim, together with the Mayors and representatives of the CDCs.

At the launch, two Memoranda of Understanding were renewed to strengthen longstanding partnerships that:

Bring free legal guidance closer to residents through the Community Pro Bono Legal Clinics network;

Enhance legal awareness and access to justice in the community through legal talks and webinars

We were also encouraged by the creativity and passion demonstrated through the inaugural Access to Justice Community Co-Lab, which brought together 140 students across 32 teams, supported by volunteer legal mentors, to develop community-based solutions addressing real-world legal challenges.
