On Tuesday, Pro Bono SG hosted our annual Awards dinner to celebrate the invaluable contributions of our volunteers, donors and partners, who made our access to justice work possible. Their unwavering dedication and support enabled us to support more than 16,000 individuals and organisations in the last financial year.
We were honoured to have Mr Tong SC, Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs, grace the event as our Guest-Of-Honour and paint the finishing touches of Pro Bono SGβs Community Law Centre β the lights π‘. A fitting reminder that our supporters are truly the light of our mission.
Mr Dinesh Dhillon, Pro Bono SGβs Chairman reminded us that βLegal needs continue to evolve...New challenges emerge... Pro Bono work therefore cannot remain static.β While we mark how far we've come, we also recognise the gaps ahead. With this in mind, we shared some of the key developments across Pro Bono SG:
- A renewed 10-year Memorandum of Understanding with Tian De Temple
- Expanded Help Centre services
- Continued outreach to migrant worker communities
- A new collaboration with the National Arts Council's Arts Resource Hub to support self-employed persons in the arts sector
- The opening of our Inclusive Justice Law Centre's first touchpoint @ MINDS Community Hub in Geylang Serai
As we celebrate what we have achieved together, we are equally excited about what lies ahead. Thank you to every volunteer, donor and partner for being part of this journey. We look forward to continuing to bring legal help closer to the communities who need it most. β€οΈ
