Fashion Revolution SG

Fashion Revolution SG Fashion Revolution Day is a movement to increase awareness of the true cost of fashion held each year on April 24th, the anniversary of Rana Plaza.

Fashion Revolution Singapore is the Singaporean chapter of a global movement that campaigns for a clean, safe, fair, transparent and accountable fashion industry. We want to create a fashion industry that values people, the environment, creativity and profit in equal measure. Our mission is to create a movement engaging consumers, environmental leaders, fashionistas, human rights activists and designers to think differently about who makes their clothes in order to make that happen.

It’s Fashion Revolution Week! ✊🏽

🌍 2026 is a testament to the transformative power of collective action.

From ecosystems and wildlife, to resource degradation and human rights – the problems of our current fashion industry impact both people and planet. Today, we can mark how intersectional the campaign for a better fashion future really is, with our launch of Fashion Revolution Week 2026: Collective Action.

Earth Day’s theme this year “Our Power, Our Planet” highlights that people across the world coming together pushes environment progress forward – not only by relying in decison-makers and political leaders.

Real change happens through the collective: communities, innovators, educators, and through small, consistent changes.

Originating in the 1970s and now an internationally recognised day of climate action, Earth Day proves that there is power in the collective.

This , let’s come together to demand a fairer fashion system.

Mend in Public Day is our annual day of collective action during Fashion Revolution Week! 🪡

This year, it will be held on 25th April 2026! Join us at Temasek Shophouse from 10am - 1pm (Link in bio)

The idea is simple: get out into your local community and stitch in protest against disposable fashion. Amidst busy Saturday shoppers, we repair our torn pockets and broken seams and spark conversations on making Loved Clothes Last.

Mend in Public Day stands as a beacon of change in a world inundated with fashion waste. By participating, you’ll be part of a global creative action resisting the cycle of excess through repair and reuse. Get your repair pile (or other fibre crafts!) at the ready, find a Mend In Public Day event near you, or host your own. All skill levels and Fashion Revolutionaries are welcome! 🌍

Our fashion industry continues to exploit both people and the planet.

We know that change is needed. Overproduction and overconsumption must end, and the scale of these problems can feel overwhelming to tackle alone.

But it’s not just on the individual. Holding brands accountable and taking small collective steps can build real momentum.

This , ask yourself:
📣 Who made my clothes?
📣 What’s in my clothes?
📣 Who benefits from my purchase and who ultimately pays the price?

Better yet, ask local and circular designers. Their answers can inform and inspire the future of fashion that we want to see.

Conscious fashion is not just about the individual – it’s a collective mission. 🌏

Each country and region of the world is affected differently by the current global fashion system –
but there are many problems and solutions that we share, that tie us all together.

Reforming the fashion industry asks for bridges to be built, sharing knowledge with others, collaborating towards our shared vision.

This year, we want Fashion Revolution Week to help reclaim the collective: standing united as one voice, as a global movement spanning over 80 countries. We’re asking citizens to re-discover their connection: to different perspectives, to their clothes, to heritage textile practices and to each other, no matter your place in the world.

Strength in community can help move the revolution away from individualism and to a shared experience. ✊🏻
Be a part of the global campaign for a clean, safe, fair, ethical and transparent fashion industry.

Today, we are

On 24th April 2013, the Rana Plaza factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh collapsed, killing 1138 people. Today, we remember the workers and families affected by this preventable tragedy and demand that no one dies for fashion.

12 years on, we are reminded of why Fashion Revolution first formed and why we can’t stop collectively working to transform the fashion system over a decade later.

Be the change! Support these organisations with a donation and help build resilience and improved working conditions for the people who make our clothes.
